Some say they will never forgive those on the wrong side of history during Covid.

I understand the feeling, but disagree.

Forgiveness should never be off the table.

That said… I need to see much more acknowledgment both individually and collectively before I can consider an apology valid.

Mainly people just go silent when you bring up their atrocious behavior.

They don’t want face what their own cowardice and fear lead them to.

They aren’t ready to admit how wrong they were.

I doubt they ever will be.

Sir, we’re in the middle of a pronunciation debate.

Never forget

Some may be forgiven after the come totally clean. There are others who have perpetrated crimes that cannot be forgiven, and an example must be set for future generations.

We all lived through it, so we were all on the wrong side of history.

I was on the right side throughout the entirety of the pandemic. From beginning to end.

🤝

I'm biased, but would say the grunts trying to prevent celestial transfers were on the righteous side.

Also, forgiveness is important. Holding onto hate serves no purpose.

I watched too many die while politicians, bureaucrats, academics, and administrators did jack shit to help.

Now I’m getting to care for people more profoundly ill after having their access to care restricted for years.

To top it off, while I’ve been busy working preventing aforementioned celestial transfers everyone else has apparently become an expert in viral epidemiology and immunology…while working from home…with their stimulus checks…while our pay was cut.

Despite this uncool I still 🧡🫂💜.

Nobody likes facing their own sin.

Forgiveness is the response to repentance. I don’t see any/much repentance with the Fauci-ites.

Case in point, many 2x'ers still haven't apologized 6 years later. What's worse, they become worse over time and give themselves over to more and more shitcoining. I suspect that we'll see something similar from the Bitcoin Moderate crowd as well.

Lies have a way of corrupting character. That's the real punishment.

My son is still having to get freaking Vax mandate waivers to complete his clinicals for his Paramedicine Associates.

I’m just like…really? We’re still doing this shit?

🤦🏻‍♂️

#[3]. What? Still?

Feck them Mike

Never forget, always forgive. Holding on to hate & anger always hurts the holder more than the intended recipient.

Remembering & setting healthy boundaries with shitty people is basically the only way to escape suffering the same abuse twice.

Dude 😳 That's a lot of sats. I'm not sure my comment was worth all that but I REALLY appreciate it!

Champagne for my real friends.

Forgiveness is the only path forward. Nobody is perfect. Not even Bitcoiners.

We got that money thing pretty locked down tho 😂

Its difficult to hold people accountable for their ignorance. It’s a crime of complacency and comfort. Most people don’t want to sacrifice to make the world a better place.

the state apologist only grew

not many people flipped

Hahahahaha

They will all die of complications from the jab before I forgive them for being Nazis, and if not that's fine too because they are already dead to me.

My wife and I got refused service at a restaurant for not having vaccine cards. Just last week. #Portland

I was wrong for the first few months, and for that I’m sorry- flipped pretty hard eventually.

It made sense to be abundantly cautious in the beginning.

I have a lot of respect for the people who were smart enough to avoid a hastily prepared vaccine in favor of the natural immunity conferred from surviving a china engineered bioweapon that escaped from a lab.

Problem I had was trusting neither the institutions or those critical of the vaccines (initially). Both sides seemed to be filled with lies and half truths.

How did some come to the conclusion that covid-19 was a “normal virus” and not a bioengineered death bomb?

Not sure I ever believed that. Though I know places and food hygiene practices in China that are disgusting and are basically a petridish for creating new viruses.

Member when they said it was from somebody eating a bat or pangolin?

😂🤣

I’m even now unsure about the origin from the lab in Wuhan. Some evidence now points to labs in Ukraine. It’s all a mess, and the only thing I know for sure is that I don’t know anything for sure.

I certainly was. Then I continued to examine the evidence, emulating my favourite people in the world: those who can change their minds when faced with new information.

👏 for you

It's easy to admit when you're wrong on a marginal thing. It's harder when you're on a wrong side of something of this scale and impact.

Post-war countries tend to just silently suppress the past sins. Not forgetting, but not eager to revive either.

Cannot forgive those that never apologized or tried to make restitution.

#[1]

You can’t really forgive someone who doesn’t want to be forgiven.

Also, collective forgiveness is not possible, and I’ve yet to meet any individual that admits to the wrongdoings of the past couple of years.

Well, One of the biggest Danish newspapers has apologized for it's skewed coverage.

Sociopaths don't say - I'm sorry please forgive me. But the ones led by them to act as instructed can absolute to so. Know your enemy and know your friends.

The same people peddling covid authoritarianism are now clamouring for wwiii. Not only are they not ready to acknowledge past mistakes they’re continuing to double down on the latest groupthink stupidity

FUCK. THEM. ALL

Great thoughts from #[0]

I typically vote democrat (although not sure how I’ll vote for anyone going forward if I’m honest). I also live in Massachusetts, which was a heavy lockdown, mask, and vax state. Many progressives and democrats have come around to the reality that the gov’t went a little too far, vax weren’t really needed for most healthy people, and lockdowns were pretty intense and unwarranted. But in this political game, society has a short-term memory and both parties prefer that when it’s convenient for them.

I don’t think you’ll ever get a “yeah we were wrong” from them. And my biggest frustration is how democrats, who should be staunchly against the power and wealth of pharmaceutical companies, were just intent on shoveling money and authority to them at the drop of a hat.

#[1]

The craziness in our political space is what continually drives people towards conspiracy theories. Both sides seem like caricatures of what they used to be.

Trump seemed like the lockdowns were being forced on him. And yes, democrats seemed like they couldn’t stop pushing the pharmaceutical industry “in the name of science.”

Overall, I just don’t see how Biden and Harris were chosen as the future of the party. It seems like the next election will be a battle of the primaries.

I feel the next election will have trouble convincing America why they (either party) should be trusted and how it even matters. Also, D’s and R’s seem to be absolute shit at getting good nominees

I can’t wait until true bitcoiners are in office

I’ve always found it amazing that all of the precautions are blamed on the left, but Trump was President while the shit hit the fan.

That’s true, it was a systemic government intervention thing. But also at the individual state level things got shady

Yep. Shit was shady from top to bottom. The media certainly played their role, too.

He was trash talking it while everything happened. But you’re right, it happened under his lead.

It’s almost like he was presenting the opposite to the mainstream media to redirect people from what was actually happening.

“Lead” is a strong word to use to describe anything Trump does.

This is true.

Forgiveness must be earned.

Denial’s a hell of a drug

Punishment is a big component of forgiveness. Eg, a bank robber may be forgiven after 10 years in jail. But if they make off with the money without consequence?
