I’m bullish on space mining and these things for resources needed, but the human body would likely have to evolve via 🧬 engineering just to survive in space. I like the idea, but I’m cool being a simple pleb in this world✌️

Space exploration is federal spending, while charity for the homeless is state spending. Both are separately limited by budgets. The federal government writes California, I'm assuming, a blank check, to solve things they see necessary, such as charity for homelessness. What the state of California actually does with that blank check is another story. I'd look into that. I can assure you that NASA has nothing to do with it.
