I switch back and forth between Primal and Damus. Just copy note ID and paste in the other app search box. Not ideal, but it’s simple enough.
That’s not what I’m complaining about. Did you ever notice that you don’t see all the notifications on primal?
Doesn’t bother me cause I also check notifications on Damus and Jumble. Being able to easily bounce around to any app is what makes Nostr awesome.
It bothers me when the devs say they’ll fix it for nearly 2 years and then just tell you no one wants it and that it’s not a priority
Tbf their team is really small and I’m sure they have a long list of issues to work on. People underestimate how much work is required to build all this stuff.

Yeah I get what you mean. But I've developed a habit of using different clients for different things. One for replies, one for zapping, one for video, etc. It's great that we get to pick and choose from so many options.
They'll also have their ups and downs I think. Like it's been a while since I've used Amethyst because it's a massive drain on my phone's battery and many basic features don't work as they used to anymore.
But notifications are the most basic thing that all clients should have lmao. I’m not asking for complicated features 🤣

Sometimes devs tend to be adamant about the software they build and what they prioritize. I suppose that's normal.
Damus folks straight up said no to external signers and didn't even want to listen. So I just haven't bothered to use it or download it despite waiting for a long time for it to come on Android 😂

Try the latest version of Amethyst and disable background usage(if active). I don't think you will face massive battery drain.
Data usage, on the other hand, is a different story.
Disabling background usage makes Amethyst perform poorly though

If you download Keychat you should be able to use it. It loads the fastest and I like how you can curate your feed by choosing from individual relays.

It's a bit choppier on Keychat. On Android I find Firefox the best, then Chrome, then keychat. On desktop it runs good, my oldest machine I test on is a 2014 MacBook Air, which is okay. I've also noticed issues with brave fwiw.

It's the forum-thread kind, like Chachi and Flotilla use. But their forums are limited to particular community events, and mine are just straight to relays. That's why everyone can see them.
I might add in their communukeys-based threads, as well. We'll see.
It's the same basic software as jumble.social, but I forked it and added a Reddit-like forum, public messaging, and some new default relays like wss://nostr.land and wss://orly-relay.imwald.eu
