A chat interface is more human than a twitter feed for reasons I am not skilled enough to understand.

We've rebuilt IRC on Nostr. Now we need forums. Bring humanity back to Internet communications 😙👌

I don't know why there aren't any nostr devs interested in the forum format. It's actually bizarre. This is the optimal ui.

Bitforums

Geoforums

BitchFarms

Unthreaded conversations are peak UI.

Nostr 1 made 4000 twitter clone clients

Nostr 2 is currently making 5000 chatroom clients

There's no (working) forum clients lol 🥲

What’s so good in Nostr for a forum? Why don’t you want to use regular DB forums?

Get forums in nostr, get topics, potentially make a culture shift here and new users.

It could make the place interesting

I understand that you want forums on what you’re already using yourself. What I don’t understand is what killer feature you’d want to see there. Just forums? And then you’ll ask for email over Nostr and an IRC client? Oh, wait... 🤭

We're working on something.

I imagine because there are no pictures/themes/premium icon or what so ever you can display. Additionally nobody can check your post his what so ever. U will purely be judged based on what u say, this is why I imagine it's alot more human.. but again this is way above my IQ

It mimics the natural exchange of thoughts in a conversation between two or more partners. Time is linear, people speak in turn, the thread of the conversation bends and winds, but doesn't branch into several sub-conversations.

It's this way in traditional forums as well. It's easier to follow.

Chat is more immediate and real-time?

One thing I’ve noticed is that ‘Twitter’ Nostr clients generally don’t seem to update thread replies, reactions etc in real-time, despite websockets being first class.

It's simple. A chat room is just people talking. The UX tries to replicate the UX of sitting in a circle around a campfire. A Twitter feed is an unholy abomination of psychological malware trying to be nothing like any natural historic moment.
