The exploration of human emotion and attachment, bravery and weaknesses is probably one of the most underrated aspects of the book. I love sci-fi, but I feel like this book is so much more than that

i started that book at 8pm for a little reading before bed and by the time i looked up again it was 2 am and i had finished the book

Not yet into Asimov's Foundation series? Best sci-fi book series ever written, IMHO. If you like the first book, there are like 6 more.

Project Hail Mary is awesome too, the Interstellar-type of story that pays a lot of attention to rigorous scientific explanations of happening facts.
