Elect RFK and FREE ASSANGE!
i'm not sure yet. the election is 18 months away. it's too early. to abandon policy for politics for almost half the length of a presidency seems ridiculous. in many ways: a president is a president is a president because of runners and rogue shadow narratives. the human matters for sure, and we have one of those at this moment. i'm focused on the now.
It doesn't count as leaking if you get a bunch of Assange stans (and larpers) to say the CIA is trying to kill him and have homeless hackers make signs about throwing Pompeo and Gina Hapsel in jail (years) before the proof is released ***

Never put that much trust in one politician
Or any
trust humanity - but understand there are mechanisms which are designed to break the psychology of humans, so it's necessary to move with purpose and remain consistant. not everyone has the same access to information and many are held back from the awareness they should question.
utopianism and centrism are tools which convince people through convenience mechanisms they do not need to be respectful of alternative perspectives.
those perspectives are then used as springboards to divide further, whether or not they are rooted in anything valuable make zero difference to artificial intelligence learning.

What you say is a good general rule - but for every rule there are exceptions. Even if he fails I’d rather put my faith in an honest intelligent caring person than any of the cardboard swamp creatures who routinely screw us all. It’s a no brainer.
There’s a big difference between putting your faith in and supporting a candidate that you feel is honest, intelligent, caring person and equating them with the last chance to save this country and our world. Our country, our world should never be dependent on one man’s actions.
Would you agree that dishonest, stupid and callous leadership is a sure pathway towards destruction? A political figure is never a sole person - they are a representation of a social movement (if not they would have no political capital). What we are seeing is the rising of a sane political movement. Let’s not squander it.

The difference in responses is pretty fascinating. Bluesky user base seems to mostly made up of the outrage brigade. Nostr seems to be the complete opposite.

A good piece, and well explained on the espionage act. A lot more public and global conversations is needed around Assange, war crimes and freedom of media as well as Snowden and privacy of the people
