Yesterday's first ever #Eurocorn on #Cornychat turned out to be surprisingly rich event! After some czech talk with nostr:nprofile1qqswex7hge25dwsxrawlmeck5neq70e8anpgefy8qa67t6znmug6n5qpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszymhwden5te0wp6hyurvv4cxzeewv4ej7acsnxq we were joined by Lithuanian nostr:nprofile1qqs9l7uwrd4k98qwxjsp87ff36aswkde3g7jgq5ezcep6h45y4dkwdgpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qg6waehxw309ac8junpd45kgtnxd9shg6npvchxxmmd9uq36amnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wd46hg6tw09mkzmrvv46zucm0d5hs9pud9c living in Austria, @EZ (whom I can't find for some reason) and nostr:nprofile1qqsx9f4yrchslq3ytp3pt08zrwx5k8rlgxrz9ck5wm3e0rw6ky4vkscpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwa5kuegpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqdzvteu from Portugal, so that covered a very wide part of Europe nicely. We talked about how and why we got Nostr, discussed some European BTC events happening this year - NostRiga, Baltic Honeybadger, BTC Prague, Nostrdam or Warszawa FilmFest in Poland. And national meals and cooking, of course.๐ŸคŒ

Later joined us nostr:nprofile1qqspe8wd3lfd97u8n4hs94kv26hwl462jeu2ujzrfv8smeazrpf0wpqpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsyqaakd from Ireland and others, talk turned towards about CBDC, digital Euro, why we all hate France for some reason, Germany's decline and the talk should've been turned into podcast at that moment, because it was one hour of solid, concentrated discussion about finance. (I started silently drinking, because guys were SMART.)

nostr:nprofile1qqsr72ya8jh4uxxa86sura5xp64j6drgfc3a5kh6segagprreu6mnlqpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzvuhsz9nhwden5te0wfjkccte9ekk7um5wgh8qatz9uqsuamnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0dshsgazlj2 from Canada was with us from the beginning, but around midnight CET Americans started to lurk around too.๐Ÿ˜€ nostr:nprofile1qqszrdqezqk63lqt4yzgftkfxjl4tdatea67akeezf8g6a0yj86p5hsppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qyg8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnddakj7qg3waehxw309ahx7um5wgh8w6twv5hs7hzcmq nostr:nprofile1qqs9phjf9nl9guj9phc6q9m0makezh5hedwelrf7enhh6f0lp2y8rhspz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucm0d9hx7uewd9hsz9thwden5te0gfjhvmewdehhxarjxyhxxmmdqyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv2adrx8 nostr:nprofile1qqsrg8d45l36jv05jz2as2j2ejfee79xw2fmreqhnl2ttsz5f38u9mcpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmp0qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wd4hk6tcepjt0u nostr:nprofile1qqszd44fgen4ucpl3hjt7muuaazzqdahp3lwu9c07phdweelcdxf3ugpz4mhxue69uhkyetkduhxummnw3erztnrdakszxnhwden5te0wfjkccte9enk2arpd338jtnrdakj7a33qyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvhj9400

At this point, and I'm sorry I didn't write down all your names, we had in also Scandinavia, Greece and some more people. The chat was still about Europe, EU or Ukraine, just as it was about drinks and differences between bars and pubs across our little continent. We were comparing views, talking about Euro (czechia kept CZK) and having quite a blast.๐Ÿ˜„

Ireland is wild, man, they touch people in bars!

*insert czech brrrrr*

*but I love them now*

It was actually very refreshing for us Europeans to have a talk concentrated on us, because outside of EU fucking things up and war we are a bit lost in Nostr and feel kinda alone. I believe people from around the world were also curious and had some questions, that's definitely a good way to go with this chat.

Then, when the active chat lasted for nearly 5 hours, I was the only European left and I was hammered, so I gave guys 15 min lecture on czech language, taught them some swearwords and left.

It was good and we're looking forward to see more of you on Sunday 6.4.!

So happy you had a blast, it's always a good time. I think people don't realize you can just start up a room and talk about whatever, you don't have to join one of the active rooms. I was so anxious the first couple of times, but now we're on most nights ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ.

I tried before, but there's usually nobody there and it felt too random. But this took little to no effort to make thing happen and it's very inspiring.

๐Ÿซ‚ Glad it wasn't hard work, nobody got time for that ๐Ÿ˜‰. It's just so nice to talk to human beings that aren't shitbirds.

I loved listening in! Thanks for not booting the Canadian from the Europe chat.

I would love to learn more about various places across Europe and I certainly did in the short time I was in. I'll be sure to join in again and try to ask more questions.

#loveyouall

Looking forward also to hear more of what canadians think/hear about europe !

Wow, I would love to have been there. Sounds like a great random meetup. I should pay attention to cornychat

Sunday in two weeks โœŒ๏ธ

Iโ€™m so bummed I missed you agi!

We can organize our own chat ๐Ÿค—

I would fucking loveeee that ๐Ÿซ‚

Should we do some stupid topic/occasion or just any time both have time ?

I always thought if I'd have easy talk show, you know, to cover topics from a millenial woman point of view, I'd call it Bitchy Pills.

๐Ÿ˜‚

Random? It is tightly scheduled and meticulously organized. :-)

How European of you. ๐Ÿ˜„

Yes ๐Ÿ’ช

Thank you for culturing us Americans too! I was peeing myself laughing when nostr:npub1l3e2uj7dzs226s7q9utf9ghml8f3mcv7252hd69nhg2z62updklqv8zq2r was talking. It was super neat to kind of identify the slight variations in humor depending on country of origin.

Unfortunately my connection was poor. I couldn't join

Hopefully next time ๐Ÿค—

It would be cool to keep it running daily. The frens from the US are always hanging out daily.

I'm sometimes on https://cornychat.com/europeanbitcoinnetwork

I can definitely start showing up on https://cornychat.com/eurocorn

Either way if anybody is interested in popping up daily, do let me know because I'm often around too.

Very nice, very nice. I think it is good to keep those as two separate rooms/events. One as more popin popout 24/7 room for chats and colabs, and the bi-weekly #eurocorn chat as a bigger more concise event.
