Yea the echo chambers are super interesting. I have one nym on BT twitter and the second is the real me used on med Twitter. Couldn’t be more different. Personally, I’m somewhere in the middle.
Left > me < right
Vegan > me < carnivore
No sunscreen > me < sunscreen (only mineral)
Vax > me < anti-vax (not kids, I was part of the trial for HCWs)
What they don’t want you to know that 99% of people are actually in the middle, but the middle doesn’t sell clicks for ads!!!
I'm sure clients will implement them at some point. It helps them pay the bills. And then users will pick other clients that do not do that. It will be an interesting cycle.
💯 Some company is going to come into the space and find a way to “break” Damus, or astral, etc. And we’ll just move on because Nostr DGAF🖕

Fuck ads, We all know current ad models broken. I got this flow chart in my head where people have their own website where they produce content, and things like nostr become like rss feeds drawing consumers to the site where the content producer can partner with sellers to target people who will opt in because they actually care about the product being sold without bombarding the consumer with the same bullshit ad over and over, stealing their attention. Value 4 value 4 value and cut the middle men out. Maybe the seller sends some ⚡️sats to grab attention of the consumer, seller gives some ⚡️to the content maker, marketing budgets used much more wisely that way.
Love it… also I hope you know i was being sarcastic. I’m enjoying the space as it is right now. Ad free, mostly scammer free, mostly influencer free, etc
Value for value is an incredible model
Hells yeah bro of course. Like you I’m enjoying this so much right now 🤝🙌🤜🤛

You and I may not like ads but I think it would be naive for either of us to assume we'll never see a Nostr client that puts ads on their client app. Users will then have a choice to either see the ad and use that client or use another client that isn't using an ad supported model. I know which one of choose. If choose zero ads and paying for the service.
This will work. As long as the protocol is out of their hands, the clients and their algos will be subject to their customers wallets.

I think being in the middle allows you to see view points from both sides and sometimes you'll go one way and other times you'll go the other way. I don't like always having to think the same way or always choose the same side. I don't think that's healthy. I like to think for myself and form my own opinions. The best part is? Sometimes those opinions change. Because that's what they are.
Stop using labels and set yourself free

I am a cast iron maxi though. Fuck SS
you're right. there is no going back for some things. cast iron maxi for life.
The only exception is I occasionally use a ceramic coated cast iron for 🐟.
i still cook salmon, tuna, and haddock in my regular skillets.

*regular cast iron skillets.*
That looks good… bigger issue is the carryover. Not a fan of haddock flavored bacon.
