The only thing I found was potential damage to mitochondria and a single study on rats.

Have not seen anything else beyond “trust me, because I said so”.

Happy to look at actual studies if anyone has links.

And by look I mean I’ll plug it into chatgpt4 and have it summarized for me because I’m too lazy.

I’ve not done any research about this either, but so far it seems everybody just saying “trust me, bro, it just is” 🤷‍♂️💜

It totally could be, who knows with food anymore these days.

Would be interested in seeing some actual studies also 💜

It’s kinda ironic. Some Bitcoiners rightfully harp on wrong and biased studies by anti-bitcoiners but then readily accept stuff that sounds right without serious scrutiny.

I’ve seen too many cases where headlines made rounds on studies that were not even statistically significant without anyone questioning them to believe anything I read without lookin at it myself.

Seems like the general concept is some seed oils are essentially industrial food-like substances and are widely present in highly processed foods. Peter Van Valkenburgh has written on it a fair amount and—from within the rabbit hole—posted charts and research on twitter

Cool. Would look at studies in the original form.

I have some bookmarked on a computer which I don’t have access to until tomorrow. I’ll see if I can easily find them and will send them your way if so.

Actually, we don’t ever trust, we verify. And seed oils are bad. Do your own research. Trust no one.

🤦‍♂️ that’s another fallacy readily propagated by bitcoiners but whatever, im not willing to start a war here 🙃 ✌️

There is a history that is important.

Primarily American capitalistic consumer industrialization of food type history.

“Research” is corrupted by money.

If it tastes good, it’s bad for you, is a saying my grandmother always Had.

Seed oils are a foundation of shelf stable foods that taste way too good for how long they can sit on a shelf.

Does steak taste good? Is it bad for you?

😈

But yeah, I get what you’re saying.

Lol, we palm oil country ppl have a lot to say abt seed oil gangsta :) maybe chatgpt might tell you the bully tactics they implemented :)

But also check out the the way it’s processed. And the various saturated fats (poly, mono) optimal temp to be used as well as it’s omega content. Alternatively butter, lard ghee, coconut oil, palm oil is a good option highly because of the temp it withstands before it breaks.
