What are your thoughts on remote/hybrid/office?

Offices are bullshit. Always have been.
Why do some people insist on making it mandatory?
It gives them a sense of power. Look, I can make all these people leave their houses, get stuck in traffic, spend less time with their families, just so they can sit at a desk and email people. Unless you work in an industry where you have to physically work with other people, it makes no logical sense.
I hope there is more to it than a power trip 😬
I think it depends on a lot of things. Home environment, personality, work style preferences. Personally I work from home for myself everyday and it can be challenging having no resources to turn to. It also makes it harder to have a distinction between work and home life. Neither of those observations are negative just an aspect of the situation.
Tbh I think it depends on where you fall on the big 5 personality trait spectrum. Ie if you are high on extraversion you may thrive more in an office. If you’re high in neuroticism it may not be the best environment : https://www.verywellmind.com/the-big-five-personality-dimensions-2795422
