“the first person to live past 1000 years old has probably already been born.”

I remember you saying something along the lines of:

“The further we stray from nature the more we’ll suffer”

Curious how this will turn out for us.

Death is a natural process which enables societal progress

"Nature" is 4/5 babies dying at childbirth. Nature is dying at 30, or from an infected cut because there's no penicillin.

You don't want "Nature."

It doesn't have to be

👀 it could be you.

Bryan Johson seems like a nut job but you need visionaries like him to build the foundations for what's to come

Yeah Bryan Johnson's like an Ascetic who goes to the mountains to seek perfection. He's a walking science experiment, not suited for mass production.

But I expect that the data he collects on himself could have value for others.

Hello dear nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m sir,

Please save me from here, Please Jack Sir, please 🙏

Please see my message & Primal post🙏🙏

I just do not think that these technologies nor ideas are healthy for society. Death is a part of life. We should embrace the inevitability of our eventual physical demise. And build our life to make our legacies immortal.

"Death is a part of life" .... So was, until very recently in human history, polio, 30-year lifespans, dying from an infected hangnail, death at childbirth, etc etc...

"Death" isn't one thing, it always has a cause, that is frequently some particular disease state. I assume you aren't making the argument that we should stop trying to cure cancer, or heart disease, or anything else like that? Should we throw up our hands and say "gee whiz death's inevitable, no penicillin for you"?

Really? That’s what you got from the post? That a position on transhumanism and the singularity is directly comparable to treating terminal illnesses that shorten lifespans from human norms? (smh)

😝😝

true true

We are far from that, might take more than 125 years to develop a real AI. 🙂

oh boy. I wonder what type of body if it is even possible. Like living to 1000 in the body of like a 90 year old? Or … in like a perpetual “middle aged” body?

i think it would be someone perpetually "stuck" in their 25 year old body.

living 1000 years in a 25 - 35 year old’s body … needing to be careful of accidents. I wonder how it would feel to die after living for such a longer time.

ah the human imagination is such a weird thing

That is what the alchemists thought, and those seeking the fountain of youth. Every age recycles its hope of eternal life onto the human advances of their day. Every time frustrated men die, failing to give themselves that which God has already granted.

God can gargle deez nuts.

We have already advanced the human lifespan 2 or 3 times beyond what the Bronze Age Mystics who wrote the Bible experienced.

This isn't "magic" or sorcery, it's science. "Aging" is nothing more than various biochemical pathways that can be reversed. It's complicated, sure, but not "going faster than the speed of light" complicated.

And is probably someone who doesn't want to live that long

there's always an "off switch"....

Hopefully

Once humanity gets up to 1k years old humans need to become multiplanetary pretty quick.

Unless someone drops a piano by accident :P

Actually, a person can live to 83 years old, that's the best.

there is no need to live so long.🫢

presumably when you're 83 you'll feel comfortable pushing the "off switch"?

Put that back in your ass from whence you pulled.

Another BS

I thought Moses and Noah already did that?

They did not

OK, maybe Moses didn’t really live that long, but Noah must have had to because he was 600 years old when the flood happened, so it maths up

Methuselah was the oldest person and he died at 969

Oh yeah, En-men-dur-ana ruled Sumer for 21,000 years. Some stone tablet says so!

So someone has already lived 1000+ 21x and here we are trying to break 150.

(whoosh)

Might have lived longer if it wasn’t for the flood

That's a theory. Adam and Eve didnt live that long.

I thought Moses was around 920 years old.

No it doesn't "maths up." LOL. Wtf

You’re taking chances I wouldn’t take

Fortune favors the bold.

Indeed

Jack man, there is no way such a form of humanity has another 1000 years in it.

his name was Noah

Lol. Noah is not the oldest person mentioned in the bible.

Do you enjoy a gay lifestyle?

100 years of experience is enough, because 1,000 years would be like living the same thing over and over again, boring as hell. It's like traveling around the world 10 times.

Greetings and a beautiful post.

Kisses and love

I’m buying a put option on that news

Hi jack! Nice to meet you 🤝🏴‍☠️ If true, the real question is: will they want to? Longevity without vitality—or worse, without freedom—could be more of a curse than a blessing. But if we crack both, the future gets very interesting

Hyperboomers on steroids. No thanks.

So far, Methuselah has the record… Genesis 5:27: “all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died”

He is the oldest recorded. There maybe older
