I feel sad for all the people who recommend Bitcoin wallets and Nostr clients to friends and family very enthusiastically over the years only to have these things blow up in their faces every single time.

No, it's exactly the other way round. The state isn't a threat to Monero.

While the state embraces and extinguishes the unique properties of BTC through KYC, taxation and criminalising the ownership of non controlled fiat money through money laundering claims.
