I've been using nostr for nearly two years and it's pretty much the only social platform where I haven't encountered hate. That's the ultimate success of a social space not dependent and incentivized by algorithms. God bless you all, even if you think differently than me.

People who are already polarized on either extremes chose to be on X and Blue sky. And of course algorithms are going to make sure of that.
People on TikTok and Instagram will often use it as hate for entertainment lol

Its because the hateful people can't brigade those who disagree of the platform so they rather not come here. To them we are the hateful ones.

Everyones chill because its calming to know you can get your point across in its entirety at anytime if you so choose. Its like the opposite experience to commenting on youtube. On there half the time your comment is shadow banned.
Similar experience with lack of hate here, but maybe the idea that Nostr brings out the best in people is an illusion. Do we know what relay Runners are censoring? Because they are responsible for whats on their servers, so It can't be a total Wild west where users can post what they like and the relays leave It Up to the users to whackamole each potentially vile poster.
(This is a reference to the @bitcoinengineer insights into the lunacy of Bitcoin core 30 and 100kb opreturn with no filters. Every Bitcoin node Runner would essentially be agreeing to accept any file from any anon and open It Up on their computer to verify the contents. That cannot be, in any right thinking world. So, are Nostr relays not filtering anything? Not if they want to sleep at night. So back to the top, is there any way of knowing if they filtering out more than gross jpegs and movie files before new content hits the global feed?
