I'm starting to realise how important beliefs are.

They are the scaffolding around our whole reality & we can consciously build on the existing structures or tear them down. We have the freedom to choose our beliefs, to make or break agreements.

I'm starting to believe that our mind consciousness has much less control over our thoughts, actions & emotions as we'd like to believe. Our mind consciousness seems to be a construct of our physicality, our body. We are just a passenger who's been tricked into believing that we're in control.

Our beliefs are fully in the domain of our mind consciousness though. If we shift our beliefs into alignment with our higher consciousness, we can experience a lot of joy & much less suffering. It's much easier to shift our beliefs than exercise will over our body.

- it's definitely worth a listen.

I'll give it a listen, but I rather hung out and have a good chat with you.

PS: We don't have that much control over our thoughts, beliefs are based on emotions and cultural programing.

Emotions emerge from the unconcious.

Work on emotions, the rest will fall into place.

Beliefs are the collection of agreements you've made with yourself & others over the years you've been here.

Your first beliefs came from your conditioning but you're not stuck with them (unless you believe that you are).

Emotions are like pain. Without pills you cannot avoid it when the physical conditions are ripe, but you can ignore it when it happens. You just need to train your brain in advance for it.

But also, emotions are mostly body's reactions to unexpected or unexperienced situations. When you know everything and you have been around, you are close to being emotionless. I mean for real, nothing to even ignore

Nothing surprises you anymore.

When was the last time you explored the unknown?

There is still something small popping up all the time. Every week if not every day something surprises, you can say. I read more detail about Ashoka, I realized gel with unsweetened juice and erythritol is a great desert, things like that. You think you know everything about food, and you come accross gelatin and realize you had missed it.

The last major surprise to me was when I found that bitcoin is a perfect money, and that all the right world changing people had found it (if not founded it), too.

We can only ever experience the unknown in the Now.

It's exciting & sometimes scary.

It's deciding to go off script by following your intuition. It's where the magic happens.

So much of what we choose is based on past experiences & habits.

rather than believe for the sake of belief, to chose to believe can may be just as important

You have chosen all your beliefs, even if you don't remember choosing them.

Many of us just accepted the world view that our parents or teachers imparted onto us.

My first conscious belief was to believe that I should only support a belief, while it served me. That also had wrapped in it, a belief that I can consciously choose my beliefs. That was 15 years ago & I still uphold both beliefs today. I'm only just realizing how critical that choice was to journey thus far.

🧑

Blessings πŸ™

The price to get to chose, I could see, is to forget precisely at what moment of life the bless of consciousness was obtained, in the first place...

The price of getting to choose is realising that you & only you, are responsible for your experience. The ultimate responsibility for the ultimate freedom.

We chose to forget much on arriving here. The forgetting is necessary to have certain experiences but you can also choose to remember who you are.

Have you read, As a Man Thinketh by James Allen?

I haven't - what's his premise?

β€œA man's mind may be likened to a garden, which may be intelligently cultivated or allowed to run wild; but whether cultivated or neglected, it must, and will, bring forth. If no useful seeds are put into it, then an abundance of useless weed seeds will fall therein, and will continue to produce their kind.”

I think beliefs take us to a known place. what if we question all the beliefs? what if we let them all go once we perceive them? not only the ones that seem negative, but also the ones that seem positive. I don't know if we are talking about the same thing, but beliefs, the way I see, can be an attempt to scape from the infinite possibilities of being, living, experiencing things.

it's hard for me to send you this, because somehow I believe that I can't bring my view to someone who seems to have experienced a lot of similar things to what I've been experiencing, but not exactly this time. also the belief that I only can say right things or I shouldn't say anything. and these are only samples. but letting them appear and go is allowing me to open myself up for sending you and just observing what comes next.

thank you for that

Beliefs make the unknown feel more comfortable. It reduces some of the magic we experience every moment into something known & familiar. They're how we make sense of the frequency that is being perceived by our senses. They are mental constructs & hence can never be True beyond our own consciousness.

Some are simple & useful for cooperation & communication with other humans. Shared beliefs that are so ingrained & common that they're unquestioned or even perceivable. I suspect that our mind consciousness is incapable of existing without them.

I believe I think, therefore I believe I am πŸ˜†

I don't even think it's possible to experience this realm without assembling a collection of beliefs. I like to think of our beliefs as the lens on the projector that is screening our life moment by moment. If the lens is covered in distortions, the movie can be quite ugly & painful. The clearer our projector lens is, the more detail & clarity we can experience.

My goal isn't to rid my mind of beliefs but more to assemble beliefs that will provide the most joyful & expansive experience.

I was only able to get there after accepting this belief:

We (our mind consciousness) are the passengers & not the drivers of our meat suits. The driver is our Soul, our higher consciousness.

πŸ§‘πŸ«‚

I felt like rocording an audio ahahaha but it's getting too long. I'll try to write.

I think I see beliefs as you said. it's part of our human condition to believe. but it is also part of our human condition to experience life beyond the beliefs. beliefs are images of life, not life itself. if I believe someone is something before I talk to her, all of our encounter will be restricted to that thought. it may be comfortable, but it won't be all it can be. and if I'm saying all this without experiencing it all while I say this, it's just a reproduction of a belief and I'm not open to really be with you right here right now.

I think there are limiting beliefs & beliefs that offer a more expansive experience. This is at the core of some of the work that's been done around mindsets.

The stories we tell ourselves are often full of assumptions and incorrect information. At the root of these stories are beliefs that don't serve us, that prevent us from experiencing the fullness of this reality. Uncovering them can be tricky though.

We are often too caught up in ourselves to really connect with the other. Beliefs around our own lack of worthiness can often get in the way. I like to meet people with a sense of neutrality but it can be difficult to maintain in many circumstances.

I suspect that we carry many small illogical beliefs that we've picked up from past traumas. These hurt parts of ourselves need to be acknowledged with compassion before the larger more expansive belief can be slotted in.

I've found positive affirmations to be a good way to sniff out these hurt parts. Saying "I deserve the love & support of the universe" will not resonate if you carry traumas that appear to show otherwise. You can't force a belief in when your perceived experience says something else.

one day I felt something I call unconditional love. it was this state of peace and acceptance of all. after that I kept trying to go to that place again, to hold that, but that was an illusion. I could only feel that again when I was free from the past experience. because every experience is different from each other, although the truth is always the same.

it is true that we all deserve love and support from the universe, but when we believe that and don't go beyond the belief to experience that instantaneously, we get lost in an image, in an idea of what is this to deserve love and support. it may comfort us, but it want really deeply touch us.

I think there is a belief here that I'm not really seeing, because I see that I'm insisting (maybe stuck?). but I'll send that anyway cause I think it is also a call for some change.

thank you, nostr:npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq

We can experience that unconditional love feeling whenever we want. We have to believe we're deserving of that love though. It's not an illusion - that love is what is real.

The easiest way for me to feel it, is to feel it reflected. The easiest entity to love unconditionally, is Gaia. She is the devine feminine, our holy mother. Physically connect to her & then fill your heart with love & gratitude for her. Let it flow to her without condition or restraint. πŸ’š

I don't know if we have to believe it to feel. we just must quit the belief that we don't deserve - cause that's the belief that keeps us from experiencing. it's not a matter of deserving, it's just what is, so we don't have to act positively towards what is. we just rest in that.

"Deserve" is such an interesting word.

It can be triggering which can also be useful in finding those hurt parts of you that feel undeserving.

I deserve the love of the universe to flow to & through me.

πŸ’š

yes, it is. β™₯️

thank you for bringing that.

Please keep questioning all the beliefs!

If you believe something strongly, with conviction, be prepared to question it harder! Reject it, and then try to arrive at it again in some other way. I've rejected reality many times. I reject plenty of science, especially materialist science, as just not the full story. Right now I'm trying to reject our concept of time, as I'm pretty sure it is wrong, or at least incomplete.

You can say whatever you wish, and I also reject right and wrong. Yes, I reject morality.

If beliefs take us to a known place, can disbelief take us to an unknown place? I try to embrace the unknown. What I lack in creativity I make up in curiosity.

that's it. I mostly question my own thoughts and this conversation helped me see that I was holding something. I was afraid of expressing my thoughts because "I must question and be open" and everything I say seems closed. but it is true that all I say is closed if I'm not willing to be transformed by the conversation, if I'm afraid of losing all my beliefs haha so it brought me to experience letting go these beliefs of not believing as a way to experience.

I'm sorry, I'll send that even thinking it is confusing, but this really touched me.

I get that. I also tend to frame things out as fully considered ideas, which may appear closed. The truth is I'm willing to reconsider anything, should new information or thought or emotion be brought to light.

The hardest things to reconsider are not the things we embrace, but the things we have already dismissed. For example, I have completely dismissed revealed religion. It would extremely hard for me to reconsider and be open to Jesus as my true Savior and the only way to Heaven. There is so many different things in that last sentence that I have dismissed as not just false, but ridiculous and impossible.

However, even these things that we dismiss are still possible. The earth could somehow be flat. Reptile aliens could be in control of our world governments.

If you get rid of all your beliefs, you are still left with your emotion - how you feel about everything, regardless of what you think. Experiencing the emotion is more important and significant anyway.

I've been researching, and specially observing feelings and emotions and their connections with the sensations in the body for about 10 years. I think since I was a kid I used to pay a lot of attention to other people's feelings. later I started to pay attention to my own feelings and emotions, specially the ones I try to hide from myself. so when you say that about emotions I completely agree.

I'd love to hear more about the concept of time you're thinking about. I also like to think about it.

That's just it. I don't know what it is, I just have this gut feeling that how we regard time is not at all accurate.

There's time as measured by the rotation of the earth, and its orbit around the sun.

But that wasn't good enough, so there's some fancy science definitions that concern measurements of light wavelengths or something (learned it about 35 years ago.)

I don't think either of these concepts really gets at how time works.

Consider in 3-D space, where objects have width, height, and depth, a distance between two locations is said to be based on the time it takes to travel from one point to the other. Distance = Rate x Time.

But rate (speed) is expressed as distance / time, so the time cancels out, leave distance = distance, so kind of silly.

But if matter and 3D isn't actually reality, and reality is wave/energy/field based, are there definitive locations with distance between them? Does this even still make sense?

Does time work sequentially, where a cause always precedes an effect, or could they happen all at once, or possibly reversed?

I'm currently trying to learn about the Hindu / Vedic concepts of time, because my early understanding was that they are pretty different.

I can talk for hours about time theories and such, but again, I don't know how valid most of them are.

I think this much is true - whatever I am doing in this moment is the most important thing to me that I could be doing, and I would rather be doing it than any other option I might have.

And right now, I am replying to you.

Imagine for a minute if beliefs, consciousness, possibly even reality were downstream from emotion.

Taking that approach changes a lot, when you learn to trust and use your emotion, rather than just trying to control it with consciousness and belief.

I personally trust my emotions far more than my beliefs or consciousness, or reality itself, at least as I understand or experience it.

Taking that approach requires you to establish a belief first. The belief that the emotion comes before the belief. Do you see the contradiction?

I trust my intuition these days more than I ever have. To me, intuition feels different to a feeling. It has more depth & detail, it feels almost like being guided.

My first real step in experiencing this more trustworthy source of direction was dissolving my fears. The second step was feeling love for everything & everyone. I've been tearing down & rebuilding beliefs for 15 odd years now but those 2 things had more impact than anything else. Those 2 emotions allowed me to erect a more useful belief system.

❀️ I believe there is nothing to fear in this realm, so when I feel fear it's like a slap in the face. I believe that all fear is irrational & that the fear is pointing to a belief I carry that no longer serves me.

πŸ’š I believe that we are all one. All from the same source. I think of this belief & then fill my heart with love for myself, in all my shapes, sizes & colours.

🧑 I then connect to my intuition which I believe comes from my soul.

I can appreciate all of this, and like everything, it may just come down to semantics. I do not see a contradiction, as experiencing emotion does not require belief, but belief (in my opinion) requires an emotional component).

Intuition is an emotionally charged experience. Our soul is emotion, and emotion is the differentiator between one soul and another. Whether all souls are part of one soul (or merely facets or expressions of one soul) or not isn't much of a question, because at least in this plane of existence, they are differentiated (separated) by emotion.

I cannot feel what anyone else is feeling. My feelings may be similar, but cannot be identical.

From that simple differentiation, everything else becomes differentiated. I do not see exactly what anyone else sees; I do not believe what everyone else believes... because sensory input, beliefs, all of it has an emotional component.

Understanding this has allowed me to love harder than ever before, because I am loving the other for their otherness, rather than for similarities or congruities.

Fear is an emotional response to the unknown. As I believe all emotions are true and valid, I would say that fear is true and valid. How we come to use that emotion may often be irrational though.

I embrace the Vedic construct of all matter being one, and formed as expressions of our souls.

I think we have arrived at very similar places in view. Good to find someone that at least works to understand themselves.

Words can be clunky tools for expressing this stuff.

If your model is working for you then I'm happy for you. All models are imperfect representations of whats really going on.

I know I'm more mind dominant than many people. I like logic & thinking and spent much of my life largely disconnected from heart. Finding that connection has been beneficial for my experience.

This is all a journey & the lessons don't seem to stop coming.

πŸ™πŸ’š

I understand well. My mh counselor found me overly intellectual - definitely wrapped up in layers of analysis and logic. I only felt breakthroughs when I began to embrace emotion (pun intended), although I had some earlier success with self esteem. I've written about a lot of it here along the way.

I'm happy for you as well, and it is great to meet another of the folks I would happily stand beside, peering out into the abyss. If I cannot feel your emotion, I can still support your journey.

Yes - it's nice to know there are other explorers out there. πŸ«‚

Is it possible that what you call emotion, encompasses what I call frequency?

All actions, thoughts & feelings carry a frequency. It's the frequency we're perceiving through our senses.

It is possible - and again, maybe more similar to what I have thought of as field energy. Kind of like magnetic fields or light diffusion, but I feel there there are many field energies that we experience. And the energies work with each other, so a disruption or change in one field energy can have an effect on another field energy.

Would you consider yourself a materialist? Based on your concept of frequency, I could assume not, but bettsr to just ask.

I generally think of matter as stored information, so it completely makes sense to me that transfer and creation of information through actions, thoughts, and feelings would be frequency as you say, and our senses would be sensing frequency (your model) or field energies (my model).

I'm not familiar with the concept of a materialist.

As I understand it (and was using it), a materialist believes reality is based in matter. This is the general approach of the hard sciences, physics, math, etc. Even a lot of philosophy is based in materialism - see Descartes, for example, although philosophers tend to struggle with existence beyond matter. Even religions tell their creation myths in terms of matter and objects.

This reminds me of Watt's prickles & goo.

I started in the prickles camp & I'm a slowly coming over to the goo side.

Multidimensional awareness comes in when we break out of the mental/emotional frameworks. While in the conceptual world of projections it is like Truman Show. Wherever we look we just encounter our unresolved shadows. When the shadows are resolved they become like lenses we can see the real world through. We still see things through lenses but they are cleared so we are able to sense the quality of the lens AND get an idea of what is on the other side - another node on the decentralized creation network.
