I’m kind of a normie and I feel like I am relatively new in the scheme of things so I understand the confusion. The voices explaining freedom tech aren’t crossing over to normies frequently. It’s a bit of a bubble and the corporate press headlines aren’t helping. It’s hurting my heart tbh.

I find it really hard to believe Jack actually called “X” freedom tech. I’d be very curious what the context of that “quote” is, lol.
I’ve listened to Jack’s arguments enough times that I can’t possibly believe he thinks that in any serious sense and that even if he did say it with that meaning, that is was an off-hand comment and only meant to indicate that it’s a more open conversation than alternatives. Otherwise that’s an absurd statement.
The difficulty is that in this space everyone has heard his arguments. The rest of the population hasn’t heard the arguments. Elon quote tweeted the headline calling X freedom tech. The term is dead now, sadly.
I guess I need to open a twitter account, nostr is dead I guess.
