Yeah but practically everyone who calls it “freedom tech” has no idea what that means and likely has never even explored what real freedom tech even is.
It’s basically a bunch of normies who woke up in 2020 to realize that it’s critical to have tech with the explicit purpose of defending rights and getting around censorship, but who understand it so poorly that they all think Elon will do it for them and so they do what they’ve always done, just pick a different guy to “be in charge” who is gonna save them and protect their rights.
They never really changed their thinking, they simply realized that the technology is important without understanding what exactly that means.
