Just landed in El Salvador for the first time in 3 years…..since #Bitcoin was announced (last time I arrived here was the day after all the gang violence)
Looking forward to seeing the changes.

El Zonte is changing quite a bit. Some for the better, so e not so much. The people seem very positive in the whole. Great vibe.
If I may ask how has it gotten worse? Curious because El Salvador is on my list of possible places to move.
There's a lot of development happening (and especially in El Zonte). A lot looks great, and there's a lot of nice places to stay now there.
But there are a couple of big apartment blocks going up that block the view for other properties (such as for the Bitcoin Beach House) which look out of character (albeit they're not finished).
I suspect a lot of the development is making it more difficult for locals to stay in the town with prices presumably going up.
There also used to be a turtle egg sanctuary which they're now building on so I'm not sure what the plan for that is now (couldn't see a new one).
However, on the whole there's a lot of good stuff happening also outside of El Zonte. The "Old Town" in San Salvador with the palace, church, and library is well worth a visit for example.
There is certainly a sense of optimism in the air!
I'll try and make more posts about some great places to visit in El Salvador.
It will be interesting to post what your impressions are. I've never been there, so it would be helpful to get first hand information.
bienvenido jeff🧡
Excellent! Enjoy yourself.
Have a great trip sir! I traveled to San Salvador twice as a teenager back in the 2000s to compete in sports. Back then they put a lot of resources into sports compared to other Central American countries but insecurity and gangs were a terrible problem. I am sure things are going much better given their current leadership in government.
I really need to get out there soon. You should have invited Pierre to join you, it’s about time he starts openly advocating for the real solution out loud!!!
He doesn’t have to be PM to tell the truth.
Either way, looking forward to hearing your thoughts from on the ground there.
Was there a few months ago, had a wonderful time. Enjoy!
Good luck, hopefully you don't get imprisoned or sent to a torture camp for training terrorists
Cool, my family and I are now seriously thinking on moving there, we have waited for too long on the sideline.
Enjoy
Could this be replicated for reserve currencies such as Haiti HTG? #Bitcoin
Excited to read your learnings already 🤙🏼
