Random airline complaints:

- why is the food so shit? Is the dollar per person savings really worth it? Is it done purposefully to incentivize upgrading to first or business class?

- when getting up or sitting down, it's rude to use the seat rest in front of you as a handle you yoink down, some of us are trying to sleep!

- don't open your window ever, unless we're taking off or landing, you selfish asshole

What they took from us

Was wondering if it's just that back then there were far fewer flights and it was just upper middle class and above flying. Plus the obvious novelty of it I guess, vs now it's a numbers game for the masses who shop exclusively on price. Still hard to understand how adding a couple bucks for decent food would be a bad move. There's no way some of the dishes I got were enjoyed by a single person on the flight

I think it's all that plus corporate greed, plus inflation (monetary debasement) and overall decline of western world

Lack of Christian faith.

Sorry, I just love this gif

You mean Jesus?

Yes, we could use some more of that.

Doubt

80% Christian and 90% white in 1960. It’s a big factor.

Lol like that has to do anything with inflation

It does. Usury, debt, welfare, savings rates, spending habits, the attitudes of shareholders and owners, and the policies of the banks themselves.

Oh yes yes. Those white masonic Christians who murdered their native population, killed Mexicans and enslaved millions of Africans lol

Funny, I thought you'd be on the same page as Zach. Shows what I know

Not everything has to do with Religion

Agreed, which was kinda meaning behind gif response, though didn't mean to be rude, as I try to respect thoughtful religious opinions.

There is nuance and religion isn’t everything but it’s definitely not nothing.

Religion plays a major part in war and culture during peace, and has been a part of the human story for thousands of years. Undeniable.

Exactly lol btw he dropped into our thread with religious and race bs. Time to mute him

You said “corporate greed” and I added religion. Corporate greed just randomly started after 1960?

Always happy to have a discussion. If you don’t like your low IQ takes being respectfully challenged then muting is a great choice.

Can’t wait for you to start blaming the “Jews”

wtf is going on with my generic airlines suck thread lol

That’s what you get for using the internet in 2025 🤣

I love your complete lack of self awareness that you are the cause. Total confidence.

I’m not the cause but I’m part of the problem 😎

Totally chill here until you showed up to tell everyone about your imaginary friend and how all our problems are because we don't have the same imaginary friend.

It wasn't even close to related to the topic at hand.

My imaginary friend has been an important part of western culture for two millennia. Even if you don’t believe in Jesus, you can appreciate the impact Christianity had on our history.

No need to get triggered.

I grew up in the church and read my bible so be very careful where you step before I start quoting it.

I am the devil who knows the scripture that you were warned about.

I'd advise you to move along rather than engage with forces you do not understand.

Lol hit me with it Mr. Devil

Are you signing your daughter's up to be gang raped by the local villagers? Or are you not a just man in the eyes of your god?

Verse for context? Let me guess part of the first 5 books?

Thanks for educating me on scripture and biblical history 😂

Some Christian you are letting the atheist know the bible better than you.

Also your questioning which book sounds suspiciously like heresy. You wouldn't be arguing that a perfect being had changed would you? That implies that he wasn't always perfect like the bible clearly says he was.

You have no understanding of biblical history, the makeup of the bible, or how scripture works.

Additionally, you don't have to understand anything about the bible to know that it was incredibly impactful on the western world and shaped our civilization.

I was an atheist once too - when I was 14 and watched Kyle Kulinski and TJ Kirk. I wish you the best, God bless you!

Romans 16:17-20

"I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you."

Bold accusations about my knowledge of the Bible without checking with me what I know or showing what I'm wrong about. I'm not a double digit IQ, you can't expect me to fall over because you said I'm wrong without evidence.

The nuclear bomb, communism, the crusades, the Holocaust, and Christianity all huge impacts on society. None of them positive.

Bingo. Right back to what I told you in the first place. Just go believe and stay away from me. It isn't like agreeing with every single thing in a gigantic book written over thousands of years is a sign of brainwashing. Of course you don't believe all of it, just pick and choose with rules you made up that justify only believing the parts that aligned with the morals you were going to have anyway.

Ok perfect. See ya!

Didn't know you were knowledgeable about the bible. Huh

I know how to be a troublemaker in many fields.

This is turning into a thread to hell hahaha

Everyone seems reasonably intelligent, so it's all good. PV

Things can turn quickly around here 😂🤣😂

🤣🤣🤣

🤣😎

No need to mute. I'll take the interactions I can get lol. Also I don't get triggered by disagreement or differing takes, it's all interesting to me.

You seem to have a knack for bringing out the confrontationalism haha

Make Mute Great Again hahaha

I was just sharing a Pic from the 1960s man and it brought some deep shit from nowhere. I ain't got no time for that bull

You have a way of being it out, I swear. Seemed innocuous to me shrug

I wasn't trying to be confrontational but idk 🤣🤣🤣

Based yodl the unmuter

Lmao

More zaps on your tab for this. Ty

Religion is not the entire story but it’s a big factor.

You moved the goalposts, we were talking about inflation and airline travel.

And if you’re referring to the founders, I’d live in their country any day. They conquered a continent and built an amazing country for their people which became the envy of the world and the most advanced known civilization. Tell the natives, Mexicans, and Africans “Sorry not sorry”.

You're probably not that far off. People generally treating the plane like a public bus ride doesn't help with the overall quality of experience, and could eat into profits indirectly

The whole attitude and culture of our society has changed. Religion plays a big part in that. People from the bottom to the top are far too driven by usury and materialistic/monetary goals rather then higher values.

Don’t forget that plane was filled cigarette smoke. If that’s your thing.

Sounds sick tbh

I memba

Puzzles and I finally made the decision to stop fucking with airline food. Now we arrive early and fine a nice sit down restaurant (at the airport) and fill up right before we board.

Wayyy better than smushed backpack sandwiches

Find *

We are at airport ahead of time too, but got scammed twice! Sat at a Mexican place that looked decent and got the worst Mexican food I've ever had (smelly meat that was dry), for 60 dollars. Didn't finish, and decided to get a quick kfc crispy sandwich (yeah yeah, don't judge, options were limited) and that too was awful. 80 dollars down the drain and was not just hungry, but also angry

So far, we have not had such luck 😂

A good rule of thumb is to pick Italian every time. Much harder too fuck up a pasta or pizza dish 🤷‍♀️

Was our thinking with Mexican. Had PF Changs at lax a bit ago, thinking it'd be worth the cost, but it was a pretty bad version of it and pricey.

I've eaten well at Chicago airport a number of times, so maybe it's an LAX thing.

Regardless though, the shit they served on flight was so much worse than even 10 years ago, it was hard to believe

I only eat at lemonade when I’m at LAX and I love them so still no complaints 😂🤭

saying “LAX” and “shit” in the same post is a knock-on-wood moment

Bitcoin airways is the future

It's done purposefully to remind you if God wanted you to fly he would have given you wings, like your great grandkids will be born with

These days air travel is more like crammed subway trains at peak hour. And it gets more squished every year. I saw recently some airline proposing standing "seats"

Omg, that'd be the sadistic little dream for them, wouldn't it

i am not planning to ever get in one of those things again now i'm back on a large landmass, near the best mountains to hole up in for what's coming in the next 20 years.

also, i hope i'm wrong but the bright lights in the sky so often in the last two years is a VERY bad sign of decreasing strength of the earth's magnetic shield.

if there was a solar flare like 1859 anytime soon we are going back to the stone age

I've chosen to ignore this idea I've seen you mention a few times. It scares me too much.

Also, from other post I just saw of yours, Bitcoin could survive maybe, afterall it's just an idea at its core :)

if i had a computer in such circumstances i could build it from scratch, i've been working with the code of btcd and the protocol for years now.

if you were a genocide loving megalomaniac, and you had hard science on this happening, what would you do? definitely very important to smear anyone who starts to get close to the story. no, it's chemtrails, no it's haarp, no it's global warming.

people lived without power only 200 years ago, it's not that hard, but if you are unprepared and have no knowledge of how to do things the old way, you are planning to fail nasty.

even if we are lucky and it doesn't happen in our lifetime, long term being stuck somewhere there is no refrigeration, sanitation, water mains, or heating/cooling from electricity can happen to anyone. plenty of examples of this, some "true story" movies have been made about people who crash landed hundreds of miles from civilisation stuck in the middle of rainforest, or get shipwrecked.

modern society has inured people to comfort and ease, and nowhere near enough is being done. there should already be hundreds of large underground cities across the planet if people actually understood what a geomagnetic excursion is.

I honestly haven't looked into it at all, other than to have heard since long ago that magnetic poles do flip every so often. No offense to you, but speculating about it being imminent just feels far fetched and like doomerism porn. So I've opted to not look into it at all

hey, it's no skin off my nose. enjoy the auroras.

Maybe I'll look into it a bit someday and get back to you. You understand...just not a rabbithole I can go down right now 😮‍💨

complacence is a hell of a drug
