Oh, I thought you were joking about the Mossad comment. I see now that your are serious...

1. What makes you think it is a "deep state project" and where is the evidence since you are the one making the claim? Why are you using Nostr if it is a "deep state project"?

2. I'm not saying Tor is perfect, I'm saying it is better than current alternatives. Why would they want to make their job harder? Why allow Tor at all? Btw, a well-known Monero community member nostr:npub1saessfmtu5xwnwh60e0rwnj0e067npv6yxgc7d96algqqart056s5gkuqh created Mostard if that helps.

3. All true. Encryption and the entire interent are government-affiliated creations. It doesn't necessarily mean they have absolute control over it or it didn't slip out of their hands to varying degrees. The popular AR-style rifle, that governments are trying to ban, was also a government creation.

Again, why do you use all these things if you think they are compromised?

1. NIP-54 is still broken, and as we're discussing, you still can't use nostr on Tor Browser at maximum security settings - it's obvious this is a deep state project. This morning while we've been talking I updated my wiki article about nostr to pretty well reflect why I use it in spite of this. My line of thinking is basically: the deep state could lose control eventually because keypairs are actually useful.

2. I don't get what you mean about making their job harder. If Mossad wants to get involved in nostr, they might find Tor and Monero useful.

3. Encryption isn't a government-affiliated creation. The internet is, and it sucks. The popular AR-style rifle is for people who think "armor piercing rifle" and "thin kevlar piercing rifle" are the same thing.

You mean useful for their own operations? Sure. But I meant for compromising others.

Encryption definitely had and still has heavy government involvement. In fact, they were the first ones to make major use of "modern" encryption during WWII. It has a long history of government involvement and creation stretching very far back. For current examples look at NIST. They're a government agency that sets standards that are widely used. You mean armor piercing rounds? There is almost no difference between the government issued M14 and AR15s, but now were getting lost in the weeds...

"Armor piercing rifle rounds" for AR/M14 style rifles are just rifle rounds. They can pierce thin kevlar like any decent armor piercing pistol round can do. AKs (and sadly Israel's Galils) have not only these normal rifle rounds, but also armor-piercing rounds effective enough to make use of rifle-length barrels. Typical hunting rifles have serious ammo available too (often the standard), making them a better option for home defense if someone can only afford a single rifle, and yet a lot of single rifle owners obsessed with self-defense pick the AR platform, especially in the US. They say there would be an AR-15 behind every blade of grass if the US was invaded, which is why we have gotten completely lost in the weeds now

To clarify, I was joking about the mossad comment, but I'm also serious about all my justifications of the joke
