Some people keep telling me that we won't be able to get the influencers to use our kinds because they are all on Primal, and Primal is a kind 1 only feed, so we should all only build things for kind 1.

But some people are dumb.

Today you learned, that you can pin other people's images to your own boards. You can add other people's videos to the reels feed.

It's public data.

Your pin board πŸ“Œ is the star ⭐ , not them.

They are just another pin on your wall.

This is your curation. This is your Nostr.

*Primal Studio allows you to write article, even collaborate

Primal fans down hard.

At around $70 a month, it probably cuts off 90% of its subscribers, but those who donated $1k will donate that amount every year

Whoa. That's more than a newspaper subscription costs.

And I can warm myself with a newspaper; muliple ways!

What is the Deal with primal? - except from it only supporting type 1 which is ok I guess?

They can do whatever they want, but they are not my dev daddy.

Today I’m going to unblock on my relay all those media kinds that Jumble supports 🀭

Amethyst is also another great option on Mobile. Nostur on iOS and macOS. And Nosotros on web (although it doesn't support ad many kinds as Jumble). Lots of great options out there for folks willing to explore.

As far as I know, some of those devs are trying to jam everything they can find into Kind 1, so that's a nah, from me.

Not Amethyst, I mean. The others.

Unrelated, but speaking about less known kinds, I was trying to dig into the GitCitadel docs. Wikistr is failing to load the article in my browser:

And Alexandria is returning a 500 error:

Is there a quick start for GitCitadel similar to the ones here? https://gitworkshop.dev/

Having a small, easily accessible guide and a playground (something that could be wiped every 24 hours or weekly, since providing it for free long-term isn’t sustainable) would certainly increase GitCitadel visibility.

With ngit, I went from β€œI wonder how it works” to cloning a repo in about 5 minutes, sending my first PR to nak within a couple of hours, and self-hosting it in about a week.

A simple β€œtweet-sized” getting-started hook and an experimentation ground for GitCitadel would definitely help more people discover it.

There's a "Getting Started" menu item.

Ugh, you're right. It doesn't work, over that path. Let me go check to make sure that's fixed.

Thanks, for reporting!

Not a problem at all. And returning your sats with something extra on top as I've read your post about going broke to feed other nostr devs (we should collectively stop selling our lunch to pay for dinner🀣). Are you using any NIP-17 enabled clients or is there any other place that I can DM you?

I use Amethyst.

Ngit hardly does anything, to be fair.

Im wondering if the influencers are getting paid to use Primal πŸ€”
