Oh boyโ€ฆ

Standard leasing model to apply, oh sorry its called subscription.

Plus they'll track everything you do, collect all your data and profit off it while you pay them forr the privilege.

Double dipping revenue model...๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

This great news for Linux

But of course...

You'll own nothing and be happy.

~one of those WEF f@ks. I forget which one.

Windows 7 was the end of the road from me. Had a lot of fun in the early days. But Linux is my daily driver now. And will be to my grave.

I remember when you could only get Linux on fragile big floppy drives. The internet was too slow, and mostly non-existent. Sometimes we used acoustic couplers.

We thought we were badass. Look at what we have today. Technology, fun stuff..๐Ÿงก๐Ÿค ๐Ÿ—ฝ

What Linux distro do you prefer?

Fedora Silverblue

Wow! Never heard of it. Which one would you rather recommend for a noob: mint or debian? I need no prompt, thank you.

I really like debian but if it's for a newbie you might prefer ubuntu or mint.

If you are just going to browse I recommend Fedora silverblue, it is unbreakable.

Yeah, I'll need more than just browsing. A friend told me to try my options through live booting. I must do that. Thanks!

I learned about Linux cuple years ago and learned how to wipe out windows on my old laptops tossed in the closet - awesome computers now .. all windows free, ๐Ÿ’ƒ

Dump #Microsoft, go #Linux ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿง

I take very little from The Verge seriously, but the presentation they reference talks about both cloud and custom silicon, which is going to be the only way to remain competitive in the next 10-20 years.

Whether we like it or not, most people use their devices in a Cloud + ARM symbiosis alreadyโ€ฆ

I hope people switch to Linux but I doubt it. Most are gonna be tricked into switching with a feature than Windows cloud will only have.
