I am 100% convinced that we wouldn’t need any anti-depressants prescribed if people just ate a keto or carnivore, seed oil free diet.

I got really serious about eating only meat (grass fed if I can get it), fruit, dairy and honey. No seed oils at all in over 12 days. I feel great. No coffee, no grains, no veggies and no processed sugar. It's expensive but I don't get hungry or have those crazy carb crashes. It some convincing, but my wife is finally committed to it. We're looking for raw milk locally but in the city it's hard to find.

I would try going without that fruit and honey. Those are sugars as well, and you’ll feel even better cutting those out. Coffee is actually good for you, but to each their own on that front. I could never give it up.

The coffee is the worst part. I'm a big espresso guy. Grind. Manual press, gotta have the best beans...I felt like crap from the brain fog, but after 3 days the headaches were gone and I have great energy in the morning.

I’m the same way. Two grinders; one for drip coffee, one for espresso. Just too good, and I have yet to find anything about it being bad for you. Lots of research on the positive effects though.

I've been following along with this line of thinking. I met Paul at the Bitcoin Freedom Fest in Costa Rica last month. Super cool guy, bitcoiner, and all about body sovereignty. He's got great points. For me, cutting the coffee is temporary, but the seed oils and veggies are permanently cut.

I generally like his approach, but the fruit and honey angle is just not correct. Your body treats fructose and glucose the same as sucrose. They are carbohydrates and that’s that. Other than that, love what he’s doing.

I used to be a body builder and basically lived on lean meat and potatoes or rice. I'm not a scientist or a doctor but I've definitely experimented with radical diets.

I was able to clear my asthma, eczema, and allergies by going strict keto. I’ve moved closer to full carnivore now and just feel amazing. I can’t ever go back.

Yeah I have psoriasis, trying to clear that without meds. Seems to be working so far. I was taking injections or pills and topicals for over 17 years. My skin and joints have never felt better. 🤙

Love to hear it. I was on all sorts of meds and inhalers too. It’s almost like big ag and the pharma/medical industry benefit greatly from our poor diet.

It's exactly like that.

You 2 need to do a podcast together and share. Love to hear you both talk about your journeys . If you do share link here . I think it’d be popular 🤙

I'd be happy to talk about it, it's a significant change and I think most people just haven't realized how badly they are affected by the big food products out there. Especially the chemicals that are sprayed on the store bought veggies. Monsanto is owned by Bayer. The AG companies are complicit with Big Pharma and that's no joke even though it sounds like one.

nostr:npub13q8evu294dnt20vacfuagj5hy2agwhfr93el8h68qlg708zrxm8qnd6vpv you’d do a great podcast with nostr:npub199zcyxlfwyhp2s48qck7h466dgnzxlzmcv70sa7w9sa0gm2qy6lsqmmqx8 . Very interesting topic of how food has affected you both and how changes have created better health outcomes 🤙

Always down to share my story. Especially if it helps people out. Gave me a completely new lease on life.

I would enjoy listening to a chat between you both as real life experience is fascinating. Please do a podcast together for me 🤙

I would be happy to. A one episode, limited series.

Exactly, but would make a great series. Plebs talking about real life stuff

Some budget ideas: 70/30 ground beef, chuck roast cut into steaks, beef cheek, butter+lean meat

Haven't done beef cheek yet

Me either, but I saw some at my grocer recently and the marbling was insane and the price was very low, so it's in my refridgerator now

We'll see how it goes

Beef heart is pretty cheap and tastes great. We grind it up with the chuck and pork belly to make burgers

Verdict: Beef cheek flavor was fine, maybe a touch funky / vinegarey. The texture reminded me of smooth muscle like beef heart. The meat was quite lean despite fine marblng. I trimmed off the associated fat cap which was massive; I didn't see a way to keep part of it on and there was a very tough membrane there as well. I'm attempting to render the fat cap into tallow. Overall a fine meal, not something I'd go out of my way for but very cheap despite the wastage of not getting a properly trimmed steak to begin with. I could definitely see this as fodder for grinding or dishes like chili.

Nice review. About what I expected. The heart sounds easier to deal with.

I have a lamb heart I need to cook. Gonna have to figure that out.

We just grind I'll the organs in a kitchenaide mixer with grinding attachment. Mixed in with chuck or ground turkey. Make patties. If you use maple syrup and spices you can do breakfast sausage but that might go against your no sugars!

Thank you, sir. Will do.

The best

1000%

And coffee nostr:npub1lelkh3hhxw9hdwlcpk6q9t0xt9f7yze0y0nxazvzqjmre3p98x3sthkvyz. Is this the nostr equivalent of multi threading? 🙄🧐

Coffee is good for you. Nothing wrong with it at all.

I almost lost my father becuz of anti-depressants .

He is still alive legally blind now tho.

one of the reasons i dont trust the healthcare system or pills at all

Sorry to hear that. I think we all know someone whose life has been destroyed by them. Shells of their former selves, walking zombies.

Thanks . l hope you changed someones perspective with the carnivore diet and they drop all the prescriptions they take for red meat and live longer and happier .

I have definitely awakened some people on the diet front, but not anyone on anti-depressants. One day.

Legal psychedelics + being in nature

We can start with the diet.

Psychedelics should be the last resort imo

Or learn to recognize process and be self aware of emotions. I have depression and it fucking sucks when it really kicks in. But even though I'll spend a few days being absolutely miserable I'm aware of what it is. Being aware the negative thoughts aren't true and finding ways to cope work wonders.

#mentalhealth

Sorry to hear you deal with that. Have you tried the diet angle?

Get sunlight, Eat more meat and less grains.

I eat what I enjoy, meat, grains veggies. My diet is very balanced, self awareness and learning to recognize it is my best advice

I hope you end up mastering it. I would encourage you to just try cutting out the grains. You might like it 😉

You will not take my homemade breads and pretzels lol, but I appreciate it

Haha. Fair enough. If you’re gonna eat grains, homemade from scratch is definitely way better.

no it's your light environment
