It’s so exhausting to keep track of all this shit. For example, I found out recently that the tallow they use at bww has seed oils mixed in. I also found out that there are certain waxes that apples are coated in even if organic. The nutrition labels don’t mention it so you have to actually call the company and go through their automated call system hell to find the answers. Oh and I found out that most salts are contaminated with toxic metals and you need to check with 3rd party testers for purity. It’s never ending.

Put in the work, reap the rewards.
Peep Maldon Salt, you can buy it in bulk tubs on Amazon.
You're right. It's wild that you have to call in. This is the level we reached as a society who trusts blindly.
And that doesn’t even guarantee that they’ll be honest or know wtf they’re talking about 😂
I watched a video of Paul Saladino call in n out customer support to ask for ingredients of their bread. And the workers didn’t know because they don’t want other companies to steal their ingredients. But it’s all shit lmao
Why the fuck are you buying bread from "companies".
Know your farmer,
Know your baker.
Ffs bake something at home with some sourdough you lazy fucks 🥲💗🫣
I don’t eat bread lol just explained what was in the video. No way to know the full ingredient list for a lot of restaurant foods. It’s proprietary information 🤡
Fuck restaurants, special occasions only.
I look at it like alcohol.
Fuck em on special occasions too. It’s garbage served at 300% markup with annoying folks that don’t know how to take a hint that the water glass doesn’t need to be filled every two friggin minutes.
Special occasions deserve a personal touch. Home cooked, and time spent at home with those that matter.
Sometimes you don’t wanna cook and just enjoy the food. Give your lady a break, get dressed up, and go out and enjoy some decent service. Definitely don’t drink that fluoride filled tap water though 😂
It’s a shared venture in this house and we do it well. Restaurants can’t touch us.

Same here, we need to do a collab meal one day brotha! 👀💗
I’m in. 🤙🏻
Homesteader Nostr Potluck would be dope AF 💗👀

would be so fun if Feds weren’t lurking
I agree with J, I also usually don't order if there's isn't a wild caught grilled fish option - but a friend's bday will not be missed 💗
I have really great options around me with all local ingredients & such so I'm spoiled & I still rarely eat out.
It’s mostly social for me like dates and hanging out with friends. Always avoid the seed oils and breads.
This probably isn’t the answer you want to hear, but the only solution I’ve found is to just make my own stuff whenever possible. Obviously this is hard for things like salt, but you just gotta do the best you can.
Remember that just by having this attitude, you’re already ahead of 99.9% of people
That is the only correct answer. Most of my meals are home cooked. It’s only on social occasions like dates when I go out to eat. And I’m very careful about what I order. Never compromise on eating seed oils.
