I just took a guilt free spontaneous nap. When I woke up, I ate a homemade monster cookie. If you're having a good day, too, I'd love to hear about it. 😊

It was a good day. I got the last few groceries I need. Mosha and I went to the park to sniff trees and meet with some friends I hadn't seen in ages. Now I'm done all I need to do and relaxing. A cookie or two sounds like a good idea 🎄🍪🥛🎅

Sounds like a perfect day. Merry Christmas 🎄

It was. Merry Christmas to you as well ✨🎄

Sounds great!

The last few days before Christmas is usually really nice for me too. Just really relaxed and no hard schedule... because I'm self employed from home and almost all of my business clients are corporate 9-5ers, and not even really working much until the Friday or Monday after the holiday (even my Jewish customers aren't usually all that busy this week).

Yesterday and today I just chilled and did my normal stuff but a slower pace, plus I drank lots of tea and listened to Christmas music, and got some baking and goodies made for tomorrow night to share with family! Hope you have a good one.

This is the first holiday week in many years that I've had some down time. I still have some work tomorrow but everyone else is out on break, so it will be peaceful. Merry Christmas 🎄

Sweet deal!

Merry, merry to you and yours 🎄⛄🙏

I've been reading the Witcher books. I just started the third one and I'm fully immersed. They're really good.

I've heard those are good. I barely ever read novels, though.

I've read plenty of fiction and nonfiction, but I get a lot more out of fiction nowadays. Unless the subject of the nonfiction is particularly enlightening.

My interests bounce around so much, I don't think I'll ever run out of interesting nonfiction to read. Merry Christmas, Jay 🎄🫂

There's so much to know out there after all 😁

Merry Christmas Eve Eve 👋

I go through phases. For a year or two, I'll read only non-fiction, and then switch for a year or two to almost only fiction. Bank and forth like a pendulum. Currently still deep in a fiction binge.

This year was a lot of fiction. Most of James Clavell's books, Project Hail Mary, Lions of Al-Rassan, Europe Central...

My wife loved Hail Marry. It's good, but it's on her Audible account and I tried listening to it with in a van full of people.

I think I need to try the dead tree version. The base 6 numbering system was interesting 🤔.

What fiction would you recommend?

Older fiction, for sure. The Alchemist is always a good read.

Getting close to nap time for me too.

Been awake close to 11 hours.

I'm embracing siesta culture!

I'm a believer in the power of siesta culture 😅

I had too many coffees this morning & I missed my nap window 😭

Love siesta

What is that culture

It's simply the practice of making afternoon naps an integral part of the daily routine, especially in hot climates. That specific term for it, is Spanish.

Ooh afternoon naps are very healthy, short but productive

Milk?

Coffee.

Clearly not Santa.
