Super annoying question, but how resilient is #Bitcoin REALLY against quantum computing? 🤔

I have to admit I've dismissed this problem because much smarter people than me rolled their eyes.

But Grok doesn't share that overbearing confidence 😬

Much, much more resilient than e erything else.

Sure, but "you meet your destiny on the road you take to avoid it", right?

Bitcoin's resilience to change has been its big strength, which could turn into a fatal weakness.

Oh, got you. No, not really. So the big risk is quantcomputers hacking addresses more than. It is a 51% attack. Quantum computers will hack the financial system first and they will be fucked. Whomever is still in FIAT will flood into BTC. It is fairly simple for the system to upgrade to Quantum resistant wallets once traditional financially systems start collapsing. The most at risk wallets are those that have made transfers in the past. But all will be at risk.

Devs pass a BIP for quantum resistant wallets. You transfer your stack to a quantum resistant wallet your stack is safe. The problem becomes what do you do with long dormant wallets? Satoshi era, do you have those wallets turned into dead wallets? Sort of against the BTC ethos and would take massive arguments and tough to get passed. Or do you let them all get hacked one by one? The coins already exist it is the same as if Satoshi came back and started spending his coins. Will probably have some negative ramifications but at that point the whole world will be crowding onto this life raft.

2030? dream on Grok 🙂‍↔️

Ask grok how efficient and power dense quantum computers are
