Set up a node on a Raspberry Pi 4 with a 2TB external USB HDD. dbcache=4000

How many hours will it take to complete IDB with no indexing?

Closest answer wins 1000 sats.

What's your internet speed like?

Municipal fiber

Government cheese

It's good fiber. The telcom companies got serious federal government cheese to lay down those lines back in the day and then did nothing with them. So I'm fine with my city putting them to use.

My post meant nothing just sounded right as a response.

I think you gonna win, sir.

Sorry. Feel your pain.

how is it going - progress? last 10-15% is the killer - slow with the heavy blocks .

This old mare she ain't what she used to be

You won, sir.

Sorry to hear that. 😧

Been there several times. The slowdown is the Pi crunching the blocks. Download speed really doesn’t matter that much as compared to the power of the hardware.

An entire class of hardware has been obsoleted by the taproot exploit. Barrier to entry is now higher. The network thusly centralizes.

Imagine 10 years from now. Trying to setup a lightning node from scratch with block download.

"Rare sats" were actually the lightning channels we opened along the way.

BTW, your zap is not working - can’t zap you back.

Did you receive the 100p SATs? I just opened my Zeus zaplocker and got 42 SATs from you.

The raspberry pi 4 with 8gb RAM and an external HDD took 27 days to sync the chain. The best estimate will be rewarded promptly.
