Any law enforcement officers who aren’t voted into their positions by the people are private security. They work for whoever hired them.
Nah but if the state had to use sound money and couldn’t just print their way out of everything then democracy would vote a leader who actually has good priorities(reducing crime, improving road networks etc.), when that happens and people start to see actual things improving, if the state wanted to slightly increase tax to improve more things, there would be actual trust between people and state, any government that doesn’t budget correctly will worsen quality of life(much more drastic when it’s actual things you can see not just currency losing value because I don’t know why normies don’t understand/refuse to believe that🤣) and so they will get voted off asap, I think it would be so drastic that you would probably have a revolution in a lot of place and it could get violent if sound money is forced on society drastically because government at the start will be full of the scammer shitheads that are still there currently. So basically fuck current state yes but sound money will bring actual decent people in power because it will be too obvious who is decent and who isn’t, therefore with time it will be okay. The best government is one that governs as little as possible, but things like police will always be needed because some people are fuckers and will do things like steal, murder, rape etc.
Police are the reason we are forced to use fiat. Defund it all!
Defund the police. All services should be paid for voluntarily.
That said, I would choose to voluntarily fund some sort of security service to enforce my property and maintain order in my community.
I think it’s semantic, most Bitcoiners want the services the police provide but don’t support the manner they exist by.
Private security markets are nowhere near big or broad enough to start considering defunding police. Maybe a slow trickle defund could go towards tax cuts for private firms. This reminds me of the giant fuck up that ESG is doing with choking fossil fuels WAY before renewable infrastructure is ready to handle replacing the usual energy demand
Fund the vigilantes
For me, being against the state means I disagree with the monetary agenda, politics and foreign affairs. I hate the blatant and careless use of our tax dollars to fund endless wars and pad their pockets.
While defending the police seem counter productive and slightly short sighted. In my opinion we need the police to be held more accountable and force them to hold their fellow officers accountable no more "Brothers in blue" over the people.
That's my take on it.
