Is login through Amber on your roadmap?
Hi White Noise Messenger team,👽
I wanted to send a quick note of appreciation and support.
I’m an active White Noise Messenger user and I genuinely love it — the app feels solid, clean, and reliable. Since the latest update, I’ve also noticed a clearly improved battery usage on my device, which is a big deal for day-to-day use.
I’m trying to help more people switch over, so I’ve already created some content about White Noise Messenger:
an English read/review
a German YouTube video
a German blog article on alien-investor.org
Thanks for the great work — I’m rooting for you.
Greetings from orbit 🛸

Hi!! Thank you for the kind words and for the incredible support.
Happy to hear you’re enjoying the UI and that the latest optimizations are working well:)
And thank you for creating such a variety of content. Having reviews in both English and German is amazing for the community. 🚀
I am unable to install whitenoise on my degoogled google pixle 9, i download from the zapstore, app verifier passes and then followed by a message “something went wrong” unable to download. any guidance how to install whitenoise successfully on a degoogled phone?
Hi 👽 I’m also using GrapheneOS (degoogled Pixel).
I installed White Noise from the official GitHub release page, not via Zapstore:
https://www.whitenoise.chat/download
On Android, I used the ARM64 build:
whitenoise-0.2.1-arm64-v8a.apk
🔴Important: always verify the checksum shown on the download page before installing.
After installing, I added the app to Obtainium so it can pull future updates directly from the official releases.
That’s the exact workflow I used, and it works reliably on my degoogled phone.
Thank you for the inputs, I’ll have a try later this evening 👍🙏
Hi Alien Investor 😉 i downloaded whitenoise from github in my download folder, clicking on the whitenoise-0.2.1-arm64-v8a.apk opens up the app verifier however, the installation process doesn’t start.
It stays on the app verifier or when i close and go back to the download it just goes again to the app verifier ☹️
What am i doing wrong here?
till here all good and then nothing further

Hi 👽 try this:
White Noise on GrapheneOS – Installation stuck at App Verifier?
This is normal and confusing at first.
The App Verifier only verifies the APK.
It does not install apps.
If verification shows SUCCESS, the APK is authentic and safe — but still not installed.
What to do:
Exit App Verifier
Open your Downloads folder
Long-press the APK → Open with
Select Package Installer
If blocked:
Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → allow it for your file manager
Why this happens:
If the APK is always opened with App Verifier, you get stuck in a verification loop.
That's odd, it should work in zapstore.
Can you download zapstore alpha and see if its a problem there too?
thank you for your feedback Max, I’ll give it a try later this evening 👍🙏
Hi Max 😉 i downloaded whitenoise from github in my download folder, clicking on the whitenoise-0.2.1-arm64-v8a.apk opens up the app verifier however, the installation process doesn’t start.
It stays on the app verifier or when i close and go back to the download it just goes again to the app verifier ☹️
Similar when downloading the zapstore Alpha, goes to the app verifier, green tick box but nothing happens.
What am i doing wrong here?
Seems like you configures app verifier to open by default any apk. Change that in the app verifier app settings.
