It's simple to install too. They offer an web installer so it's not needed any command line scripts to install graphene os
If I am going through the trouble of buying a new phone, I wonβt buy from someone that install an OS for me. Who knows what kinda Trojan and virus you can load with it π
self install wonβt scale, mass adoption needs off the shelf

Have you tried the GrapheneOS web installer? It is magic! With a bit more UX polish could really push mass adoption.
not yet, and maybe everyone under 30 will figure it out no problem
but thereβs a learning curve and there needs to be a reason to switch or commit to two phones

To mass offer ready to use "ethic" smartphones you need to full control the hardware, not so easy.

Iβd buy one
Iβd be far more likely to buy a used phone than a new one. My current iPhone X functions just fine minus the apple tomfuckery, so itβs hard to justify $500+ for new phone thatβs a couple gens old right now with everything else I have going on.
