noStrudel seems to have found the best way to display meaningful reactions: a sequence of counters per reaction type as a bottom row inside the post's frame.

What do you all think?

Pretty dope!

I like Amethyst version better - to expand & see zaps, reposts and all reactions at one shot.

This looks a bit cluttered to me

👎

looks clean

Perhaps group the top 3 ?

No space for it. Most phones have tiny screens :)

I like big screens and I cannot lie

Looks overdone

Top 4 or 5 reactions with a ... button to expand. Feed would get really cluttered otherwise.

I like your little parties. I don't have to attend if I don't want to. 😂

How about leave the heart in. But long pressing the heart will reveal other reactions, and ability to choose amongst those and new reactions?

It works well, reminds me of how Discord does it

I like how it limits them and lets you show more if you want to. Good interface design is about reducing noise and clutter.

I guess what I am wondering is:

1. Do we want to show more reactions in the natural feed view or stay as is that people have to press the > to see it?

2. When they press >, do we want to have a two-stage UI where you first see only counters and another > shows each author's picture of each reaction type?

Summarizing the 3 most common for the feed UI won't be that interesting as the winners are almost always ❤️ and 🤙, which are less meaningful than others.

Would option 2 reduce some of the lag & freeze that happens when something has a lot of reactions?

I mean on the first press described?

Vítor, it's like crafting a killer verse, right? You want that natural flow, so I'd say let's keep it simple. Less is more, man. Let people press that > to reveal the reactions and let the real emotions shine through. Keep it raw and real. 🎶👍 #UIFlowAndRhymes"

I think amethyst already did it better

I can do a better, more meaningful usage of a single row of reactions 🤣

What about create an horizontal stacked bar chat?

ohhhhh nice! It's maybe something we should explore.

I think there is a plenty of space below user profile to put a vertical stacked bar chart 🤔

I do something similar on NostrOP
