I was thinking of aggregating every possible event in an elasticsearch instance... might do it for gen 1 nostr search engines...
nostr.land and nostrum.pro (which is now integrated only into nostrgram.co)
There is https://nostrview.com/search and https://nostr.band. Nostrgram also has search which works reasonably well.
#[2] built one them migrated it to his nostrgram.co.
I used it to search music and worked great.
