Anyone else using the Alby wallet? I haven’t been able to send sats from the wallet. It’s a bit frustrating.

Yeah, it’s not working. I’ve been on hold for a couple of days hoping the team can get it sorted out. I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this.
Are you logged in to “getalby.com” or are you using the browser extension?
Pretty sure only the extension lets you send payments (unless you’re using nostr wallet connect)
Yes, I believe you can only send from the browser extension, but there’s an issue with the extension. Are you able to send sats to a different wallet from your Alby wallet?
Next time I’m at my laptop I’ll give it a shot

Maybe we can help troubleshoot…
- Are you on mobile or desktop?
- When you try to make a payment from the extension, what do you do exactly?
- When it fails, what happens on your screen?
- I zap from Mobile, no problem.
- On desktop, I go to the Chrome Extension. It asks me to choose a passcode.
- From there, I can sign up or log in.
- once I attempt to log into my existing wallet from the Chrome Alby Interface, that’s when I get the error message.
- On my screen, the only message is error, please contact support.
I did that and they mentioned that they recently needed to restrict Chrome access due to malicious bot behavior. They asked for my ASN (which made me nervous), and I’m still waiting to hear back from them… that was 7 days ago.
can you use Alby without the extension?

Happy to announce the issue is resolved. I was able to get help from Moritz from Alby support nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm . They removed my ASN number from their block list. I uninstalled and then reinstalled the Alby chrome extension, and now I have access to my wallet with the option to send from desktop. Thanks to everyone who attempted to help.
