"The connection is from a ‘log’—the record of events occurring—and ‘log … in’ meaning to record an event in this log"

“Every phone call, every brief visit by a client, every moment spent was logged in.” ABA Journal, Jul 1956

"This usage naturally extended to recording the arrival and departure of persons from controlled spaces"

"Find Me" is a very intersting way to think about using apps. I think I really love it. Going to try and start implementing...

Yeah, really happy with that phrasing too!

Blends really nicely into the "Read Only" or "Enter Secret Key" options I propose after.

"find me" ... would then search for nip-5 identifiers or profiles that fit the name? And the user would select his/her identity (in case of ambiguity?).

If there is no search involved I think "This is me!" would also be a good caption.

Yup! Finishing that search flow now.

I'm not relying on NIP-05 at all, I don't like it.

Going to update the MASTER branch of humble.horse with this

zap.store is slave tech then 😂

Really appreciate your ootb thinking

I like this

For Mobile (iOS especially) we'll need this 👉 Why I'm exploring this direction.

I do like this… all about “get my stuff from the network” rather than “tell the server I’m here”.

But maybe I like “Load My Profile” better for it’s NOT being confused with “Search”.

Indeed!

Yup, but "Load My Profile" doesn't speak to Turbo Normie & co.

Coggitating …
