Sorry community, with my nervous finger on #noKYC matters I ended up boosting a monero profile 😔 #nostr
Discussion
Que te sucedió?
When I see something #noKYC I want to boost it but I forgot to check 😭
#monero is a shitcoin 🤮
I've never bought or used monero, but if I ever *really* needed to buy heroin on the internet I'd probably rather use it than Bitcoin.
You realize that you are admiting that even though you agreed with someone on a fundamental issue, you deliberately chose to behave differently just because of cultism and dogmatism.
That's no better than SJWs, reddit mods and other napoleon-complex authoritarians who choose to cancel people based on their opinions on unrelated matters.
You may not like monero, but when it comes to KYC, monero people are the most aligned with that ethos.
I agree with you that monero people are more aligned with this ethos but I have principles and would never condone any shitcoin. 🤙
So your principles seem to be:
1. Bitcoin > shitcoins
2. Actual sovereignty and privacy
by this order.
Not good... You're putting brand names over fundamental values. I would reevaluate
The fundamentals of Bitcoin is a store of value and a peer to peer electronic cash. There will and are plenty being built on top of it to give it privacy features that make KYC useless.
Have you read the OP? The note was not about monero, just about nokyc.
The guy had to click the profile and investigate just to find something he didn't like. That's SWJing. Bitcoin or monero is besides the point.
If you think the only people worth agreeing to about EVERY topic are bitcoiners, you are retarded.
I don't see "store of value" mentioned anywhere in the white paper. I do see "peer to peer electronic cash".
Any privacy features built on layers on top of Bitcoin so far sacrifice self-custody, permissionlessness, p2p, or final settlement.
Just look at eCash eNuts that just dropped. Not only can they issue unbacked tokens - they literally and metaphorically hold your nuts. I prefer having the option of uncucked privacy, thanks.
What principle exactly? I see Bitcoin and Monero as tools that can be used to enhance human freedom. I also believe *everything* will approach zero compared to Bitcoin, but I don't know what that timeline is and Monero is useful right now.
The principle of a true bitcoiner.
The cry is free. 😭
