Once as a resident I had to defibrillate an atrial fibrillation to get it back into rhythm. We didn't realize that the patient was not fully sedated with Propofol.

When we gave it the 360 joule kick, a growl and the characteristic smell of burnt steak could be heard in the background βš‘πŸ€•πŸ˜… #DocChain

I took this dudes vtach personally when the first shock went into rhythm then kicked wide again.

I completely forgot about the very conscious human being while staring down the monitor.

Felt bad but then opened up a can of amio and got it sorted.

Not as crazy, but as a HS volunteer in an ER, I watched a nervous resident put 4 stitches in the deeply lacerated hand of a burly mechanic. On number 5, he growled, "You know, I can feel those."

Startled, she looked around at everyone and said, "Didn't any of you anesthetize his hand??!!"

(No. No we didn't, because WE'RE NOT DOCTORS) <-- My thought.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ we need a reality show for doctors like yall

oh fuck no

that would terrify the public

then maybe it’ll just be a zap.stream for elite nostr users πŸ’€

there’s been so many times that I’ve had to make split second calls and am thinking to myself β€œshit I really hope this works,” get surprised that it actually works, and then have to act like I knew it would work πŸ˜‚

DAMNNN HE JUST LIKE ME

🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣

How many times in the office I don't have the slightest idea what the patient has and I tell him "just do this lab and come back in 48 hours" that gives me time to read and study πŸ˜‚

🀣 a classical doctor move

Wait...you are all doctors?

nostr:npub1sx7y76csd7qarknpp4wp2ghpe87j9xhqu54tjp079nxjapr2sexqn8w69a where you at? I found your people.

the #docchain grows stronger!!

πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

I see you’re an ass man?

Thanks nostr:nprofile1qqspylfm7kx2xtjyhr4c2gvspuna5zn4calgkpsfpsf8spwkgeh5zmcpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqppamhxue69uhkummnw3ezumt0d5q3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwa5kuegrhh5ru for the intro!

Anytime...the more intelligence on here the better!

It would be terrible. Doctors make a lot of mistakes, but human beings are so tough that they don't really die that easily πŸ˜…

that is so true i was watching this YT documentary the other day about 5 stab victims in a lake, and one of them had their heart stop for a total of 9 mins on the way to the hospital in the ambulance! Crazy
