What does your laundry basket look like?

dirty laundry hamper is in a cabinet in the bathroom. it is a tall fabric basket with handles so I can drag it to the laundry area.
clean laundry basket is a white plastic basket from one of the big box stores.
Why is the clean laundry basket usually always a plastic basket?
because it is wide and low sided. it fits under the opening of the dryer door so I can scoop the dry laundry in.
also, when everything is folded, there is more surface area to sort and stack by item type so its easier to put things away.
So I guess this thing fails those tests
I wouldn't prefer it. it's too high sided and looked like it'd be awkward to carry.
it is very pretty though! there is value in having something pleasing in your home that outweighs an practicality of a plastic basket.
It would be good to keep blankets in!
Practical and prettyβ¦ I donβt see why it canβt be both? Especially when itβs a high touch item.

if it's considered a high touch item, then I'd put more thought into the design of the handles, the top rim of the basket and overall dimensions.
the handles are too curved and wouldn't fit in the hand comfortably, especially with a load inside and having to walk a distance.
it's too tall. if you carry it in front of you, your legs wouldn't be able to have full walking strides. if you carry it on your hip, it is too tall to do so comfortably.
at present design, this is a basket meant to sit in a place to hold stuff, not a basket meant to transport stuff.
