no. she still loves Facebook. and it's probably good she does. we had an glucose monitor disaster with my son last weekend, and someone from one of her T1 Facebook groups came to our rescue.

I'm sad to say I got that one shortly before I learned better, but it did allow me to marry my husband, and then to get a greencard without needing to get any boosters, so I'm glad old me was naive 😅 now I'm super skeptical about all of it 😬

She is a different than most women, that's why I married her. Maybe when the kids are out of the house we will make a private relay/blossom server for staying in touch with the kids. Right now they are too little to be on social media, and we don't share pics of kids to the public.

With how fast technology changes, who knows what will be out there in 10+ years. Good to keep them off it when they're small. It's unnecessary.

No, she's a Facebook person because all her friends are there.

I do still have a Facebook for a similar reason. But that doesn't mean I'm not actually having more fun on Nostr 😎
I prefer the term friendly acquaintances. I reserve the term friend to specific people and circumstances.

I'd kinda like some better words for the different stages of friendships. With romantic relationships, there's interested, dating, in a relationship, engaged, and married.
I can only think of acquaintance, friend and best friend right now, but I'd like some more.
