Sure - what would you like to know?

I've dropped some water weight & bloat (I look visibly leaner) & I feel pretty good. It's been pretty cruisy.

I took some niacin with a 40 min sauna yesterday to sweat out toxins released from the niacin. Niacin increases fat lipolysis briefly which is where a lot of your unprocessed toxins are kept. I'm going to hit that again in about 5hrs.

I've had several liquid bowel movements each day, usually after waking & consuming coffee or drinking a decent amount of water & electrolytes. It looked & smelled awful but I'm happy to get it out of my body.

I've had no headaches or even hunger beyond a habitual urge to eat on my first day around the time I usually break my fast. I generally eat within a 6-8hr window each day (I fast until about noon every day). I do one of these longer fasts every couple of months, so I know how my body responds to them. I find 65-72hrs relatively easy but going beyond that gets tiresome for me. We are all different & constantly changing.

Sounds like many positive results! The sauna post niacin intake is a new one to me but makes perfect sense. Also no headaches - you must be in homeostasis more often than not.

🧡 I've been minimising chemical & cosmetic exposure for around 10 years now. I've been avoiding PUFA/Seed oils & fasting in some form for about 5-6 years. I like to think that it has had some benefit.

I have a good 30 years of poor choices prior to that though. It makes me cringe to think about.

The niacin + sauna was a practice pioneered by Scientologist L. Ron Hubbard for detox. They also apparently used it with 9-11 first responders to reduce heavy metals load.

Keep on and ty for the info!

do you train/practice any sports? i find fasting over 24 hrs greatly decreases my performance at strength training

Not at the moment.

I've found it really depends on the sport. I find my endurance increases but my speed & power drops.

I've found weight lifting really sucks on a fast too. I can do it & don't lose much strength but I hit a wall much sooner. I also find it hard to continue fasting afterwards.

It takes a bit of planning to find a window to do a multi day fast. Social events are the hardest to fast through I find.
