If it's more than a minute, I'm not watching it π€·ββοΈ. Unless it's nostr:nprofile1qqszd44fgen4ucpl3hjt7muuaazzqdahp3lwu9c07phdweelcdxf3ugpr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmqppamhxue69uhkummnw3ezumt0d5q35amnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwvajhgctvvfujucm0d5hhvvgv2xxnf because she's hilarious and I love her. I use youtube equivalent for learning how to do knit or crochet things, I don't like watching people drone on to a selfie camera. I'd rather read what people have to say. K.I.S.S. keep it simple stupid.

Yes. Be concise. Have a point. Get at it.
This goes for notes too. I don't want to read your novel people π
Amen brother. I ramble occasionally, but it's usually when I'm excited about a project and trying to get all the details in. Or when I'm drinking...
You never take it too far. Just right π
You're too kind. I much prefer chatting back and forth to a long ass note upfront. It's so much more fun.
Yes. Talking with, rather than talking at, is better.
π― More people need to realize this.
There needs to be a pop-up if you go over a certain number of characters:
"Did you want to write a long form article instead?"
Or a bot that does cliffnotes πππ
Both of these are great ideas!
Like just give me the takeaway π₯±π
TL:DR I want the meat of the story and I'll read the fluff if I'm interested.
I'm getting flashbacks of recipe sites. Spend 5 minute scrolling past the story to get to the instructions ππ
Exactly!! I don't care about your grandmother's lavender farm and fresh baked pies Susan, I want to know how to cook rice in my instant pot π
i think this started with James Beardβs American Cookery. It was written like a memoir with recipes. But that unusual style turned into a formulaβ¦
It's kinda funny because I like YouTube channels that combine history and recipes. But the story has to be interesting. That's the key.
when it becomes a formula, its uninteresting
It keeps you on their page so they get ad money. I have the "Too Many Eggs" book that gives a history on all the recipe types which is fun, but it gets a bit tiresome when it's EVERY SINGLE recipe and it's the same story every time.
someone does something unique and interesting,
everyone copies it, it becomes uninteresting and tiresome
We totally need a tldrbot π
I wish Amethyst supported writing long form notes. It should auto switch the note type. It just renders markdown and everything by default so Vitor didn't see much reason to use a special note type, but I think it makes sense to.
I like the freedom rant when a rant is really needed.
I don't understand the difference between long form and regular content and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.
Youβre the sweetest! But I always use a file compressor. Most of my videos start at like 100Mb and I will get it down below 10 before I post, which I feel good about because I donβt need super high quality shit to be silly ππ«
No you're the sweetest ππ₯°
Right, people be taking themselves way too seriously filming 4k for cell phone video viewing.
Itβs literally just wasteful π
In more ways than one. My time is valuable. π€·ββοΈ
So fucking valuable. I value your time π
I spend it wisely watching your sillies and yarning. π₯π€£
Tehehe I need to spend mine more wisely. Iβve just been pacing around the house looking for a vape that no longer exists for almost 2 weeks π
Oh damn, you're almost 2 weeks in! Crushing it πͺπͺ. Yoy need to break out the loom again when the rages die down.
I noticed when I downloaded your video to add the song to it. Good job nosholΓ© ππ
Iβm an idiot and even I can do it ππ«
