I was talking to someone about the whole seedoil/food rabbit hole today. When they asked me about how I got into it, I was like “welll…. I bought a little bitcoin a few years ago…”

As someone who had terrible asthma and allergies because of my diet, along with my doctor prescribing me all sorts of drugs, I had to figure out a better way on my own. Bitcoin came later sadly. It’s fun to see people wrestling with what food thing the way I did with the money thing.

What sort of dietary changes did you end up making, and how did they help?

No sugar, no seed oils, no grains. All my eczema, allergies, and asthma all went away. Lost 30 lbs. I can do more things at 40 than I could at 30. The list is endless.

Man that’s awesome. I’ve cut out about 80% of seed oils. So far I’ve only noticed that I sunburn less. Which is pretty awesome by itself, because I’m pretty fair skinned and burn used to burn easy.

Cutting out sugar is tougher for me. I’m married to someone with a sweet tooth. Do you still eat natural sugars in fruit and honey?

I do not eat fruit or honey. They are all the same. Anything ending in ose is a sugar. Your body doesn’t know the difference. My family all has a “sweet tooth” as well. Not judging anyone, and all can do what they enjoy, but really it’s just an addiction. The body craves those sugar hits until you starve yourself from the hits.

Hey if that works for you then that’s awesome.

I think people have varying degrees of sensitivity to carbs/sugar. I don’t think most people need to be so strict to see a benefit.

Doesn’t help at all that all the grains we eat are like triple sprayed with glyphosate to make them even more toxic.

Agreed on the varying levels of sensitivity. Some people’s genes have crazy metabolism as well. And yes, we poison our food in the US. It’s an abomination.

Just a byproduct of 1971. Hallow out the money and you have to make food cheaper and cheaper at all costs even if that means feeding industrial sludge to the masses

That started a few decades before that, but yes, that accelerated it.
