We should have a nostrwide onboard sprint in September, where we critique and fix all our projects to be the best onboard experience we can offer. All hands on deck, do focus groups, users can spam projects with issues/ideas, create on board content.

Starting fresh is lame on many clients, we take already being here and having pals for granted.

Primal has nailed the onboarding and exploration process. Something like this more universally would be good.

Reviewing good practice and who does it well would be part of the sprint.

It sucks though cause joining initially you feel like you are in a graveyard. I almost just deleted Damus when I tried it first, I posted and looked around and nothing happened, however I returned about a week later and had welcome replies, but most people don’t even make it that far, or if they do they don’t understand the point.

See, this is the sort of feedback we should listen to.

Take a poll of people who have been here a bit, ask them how it was when they joined, was it easy? Did they understand the point? What made them want to join in the first place?

Love a good sprint, keeps people focused 💪

If this endevour does take off... I need a job and cna jump into support any project in all that.

I would be up to contribute to this. I tried a ton of apps last week to prepare to host an onboarding workshop at a conference next week. The experience was really depressing, I didn’t find a single app that I felt like I could recommend across platforms.
