& just because 1 LN dev found a theoretical attack doesn't mean it is going to be successful. Unannounced channels have been working pretty well for me so far. But we'll see soon enough I guess

The future of bitcoin developed is vast. Honesty there will be no need for monero in the coming years. Monero devs better find a way to "bridge" to bitcoin before becoming obsolete.

BTC was originally great because of adversarial thinking. That's almost completely gone now.

It's widely acknowledged that LN isnt private by it's own developers.

Yea man it's been 6 years and Lightning is little different (maybe even worse because of all these custodial solutions). There are major things that can't be improved upon based on deep issues with the nature of lightning itself. OG devs literally quitting because they realize it is unsalveagable without base layer changes.

I don't think bitcoin has won. If it failed tomorrow I'd still be OK (although disappointed)

I think this "discussion" started when you rightly pointed out that liquid is not anonymous. I just think that monero is a sh$tcoin & you seem to be very attached to the need for monero. I think that if you use bitcoin with coinjoins, private lightning channels soon to be pay join or post mix stonewalls you have good enough privacy. So I don't need to look at monero for now.

there is no reason to believe a single thing that comes out of a bitcoin maximalist's mouth about the privacy of the lightning network when not a single DNM has adopted the lightning network.
