the things I would do for some sashimi rn
Discussion
just a couple more months 😂🤙
too soon.
Have you been playing Dave The Diver too? :P
You can eat it.
What do you think Japanese women do while pregnant? Avoid sushi altogether?
Absolutely not.
Have some Saké and Sashimi every now and again.
That’s some shitty advise there.
Do not eat raw fish, you can end up catching Listeriosis, which can harm your baby.
For cooked fish, see fish that contain low amount of mercury.
It’s also shitty advice to tell us women we can eat virtually nothing during pregnancy.
Again, WTF do you think Japanese women do during pregnancy?
Do European women not drink?
The advice we’re given isn’t science based it’s anti-lawsuit based. So GFYS with your “shitty advice” critic.
I’m not making up any advise on my own. That’s the advise that the doctor will recommend to follow, and the safest path to follow.
You can eat whatever you want, that’s your choice, and ultimately your responsibility.
I’m just sharing what I think. I cannot tell you what to do, and don’t want to do that either. Just sharing the advise that I think is useful.
Right.
Western Doctor advice based on the doctor not being sued, not based on medicine.
As she mentioned, you need to be able to have a high trust in the fish which makes complete sense.
Suggesting to avoid food altogether, particularly when cravings hit isn’t science, it’s lazy medicine.
I don’t see it that way. I see it from a prevention point of view. Because you can never be sure enough about the quality of the fish I guess.
Sorry if I offended you earlier.
Not sure If you’ve been pregnant or not, or which country you’re in, but the literature essentially suggests you avoid eating anything.
Look up even watermelon and the literature will say “it’s inconclusive if it’s safe.”
While at the same time hundreds of OTC meds are approved.
I get the risk aversion, and it’s very practical but only up to a point.
