People always question if open protocols like nostr will be sustainable but never ask if the alternative centralized services are even sustainable.
Twitter and Reddit are killing themselves in an attempt for profitability. Maybe open networks is the only long-term sustainable model.
Yep. The real answer is to let lots of people try lots of business models on top of the open protocol.

The only ones that survive over centuries are decentralized, free to join with little remuneration for the majority of those building and maintaining. Think churches, soccer teams in Europe, etc.
(There are a few small family business exceptions of course)

Meta and apple are going all in on VR/AR tech lol.
Netflix is trying to ban account sharing which is shoveling people straight back to the high seas.
Every single one of the tech giants are committing sudoku right in front of us. Nostr is going to have it's moment.
