I haven't played guitar in almost 20 years, but this makes me want to pick it up again.

Beautiful. I love my Martin acoustic. With they made that the last time I was in the market.
I once spent an hour talking to an engineer from Martin about the types of glues they use and how they source their wood. Glad to know they are bitcoiners. Makes sense as they value excellence in engineering.
Makes me wonder if guitars have improved over the past 20 years. Do they stay tuned longer? Do they have low action without fret buzz? How bright are different strings? Do pickups have a USB interface?
I can tell you that the high end audio guys are always chasing perfection in one for or another, but it’s all about sound and not anything else.
Yes and no.. Def design improvements over time, but I think the need to source more sustainable wood has driven quality down in the affordable price ranges. I have a 1965 Gibson LG-0 acoustic which was an entry level model at the time… it’s all mahogany, neck, sides, top.
Now they did go cheap on the lg-0 bridge with a plastic one, so I had to do some work to bring it back to life 😄 but well worth it

Depends on the overall quality of the guitar, the setup and hardware. I have a Ciari Ascender I take with me everywhere(it folds up and fits in a backpack). Really nice guitar, plays awesome. Check it out, pretty cool.
Dang that’s purrty
Yes serrr 😃❤️
Makes me wish I had a musical brain. I tried to learn bass six years ago... Wasn't terrible, but after six months of just trying to train myself, I realized I just can't think in that way. I can write a programming symphony in the automation world, but can't wrap my head around music. So I'm back to just listening and enjoying what I can't understand.
same. I am amazed at how musical brains can appreciate music in a way that I just can't.
but then I'm reminded that my visual brain loves other things. When I see a really beautiful color story, to others it's just "that's just red and green, bro"
I also can't program so big respect for you wizards as well. To me, it just looks like a bunch of punctuation and symbols mixed with gibberish words but some how it makes the internet run.
yes, but is that an actual whole Bitcoin in there? ;)
As someone who acquires a lot of tools for their hobbies, I find that the prettier/fancier the tool does not necessarily make me better or more motivated to practice the skill.
but, hm, maybe this one will get me to play the guitar too...
#[2] look at this guitar 🤩 and wen guitar jams on Nostr?! 🤞
the more I think about it, the more it makes sense that Martin would make a Bitcoin guitar.
there are way too many layers between the listener and the musician. record labels, streaming services, social media networks and on and on. They all take too big of a bite out of the musician's hard work.
By promoting Bitcoin, maybe Martin will open the eyes of artists to adopt a model where they can be paid directly for their efforts. Skip the garbage fiat money systems and have their fans zap support directly into their wallets.
we're getting closer to a Bitcoin world, friends.
