So you want to purchase software to run on your servers. Do people still make that anymore?

Yes they do but not as many as in the past. I have a license with xenforo and Chevereto. I've been a customer of them for many years. It's great software and great service.

As the years went by, I've seen many software developers work for free now on what they call "open source". It's like they gave up on trying to sell software and turned themselves into slaves of open source. Wasting their talents away.

relay.tools uses strfry relays on Contabo with haproxy

also it’s NFDB, not noswhere, and I wouldn’t call it trash since it is still pre-production and the test relay has been working as well as strfry does for me

wss://nfdb.noswhere.com

i tried strfry and it is trash. It's always going to be in pre-production because it's just random people who contribute to it.

Why would I use relay.tools website. Reminds me when forums were popular and some website came out with make your own forum on there website.

That's all trash.

why would you use relay.tools? that is pretty easy: not everyone has the knowledge to run their own relays or wants to bother with the actual hosting,

strfry is decent, my biggest pet peeve is that it is extremely hard to customize

Well maybe I didn't explain my note good enough or no took the time to read what I wrote. I will have to re-write it in the future.

But in short I am looking for a relay software similar to WordPress. WordPress is easy to install and manage. I don't want to be fiddling around with the Linux CLI. Customers don't want to be messing around with Linux commands. I want to be in control my own software. WordPress allows that.
