They should study those topics as well so their kids can also study mathematics and philosophy.

Why Philosophy? Any particular reason? I find philosophy mostly useless and for rent seekers.
Philosophy is NOT useless. It’s the foundation for a free thinking mind.
As I said, I find it useless. You don't. It's called having a difference of opinion, and it is a great thing to have.

Yes, it is typicall meaningless drivel being spouted mostly by men who do nothing but talk. Presenting ideas and not acting on them. Never building, never doing. Rent seekers. Complainers.

I have known those types for sure. But where does the line get drawn. Aren’t bible studies philosophy? Stories and parables that provide a frame for how to exist rightly in the world are everywhere

I still think the question amongst a community group to ask, “Why are we here and What are we doing” is still an important one.
