Kraken delists Monero in Europe due to regulations.

Any thing that offers privacy will be banned in Europe, a few days ago it was Lightning in Germany, today it is the turn of Monero at the European level.

This is Europe gentlemen, a totalitarian state.

Lightning was banned in Germany?!

Yes, in kraken germany

😵‍💫

I’m about to release my kraken on the world

You know what that means

only for Kraken users. https://decrypt.co/249436/kraken-germany-lightning-network

Though if it provides any modicum of actual privacy, like it says it does, it will probably be on the chopping block as well for everybody.

This is good though. Exchanges are centralized 🙂‍↕️

XMRBazaar and haveno-reto are good friends to the European surfs

lightning banned in Germany? In kraken ? Or is 'illegal" in general?? 😲

Bitcoiners are still in the process of figuring out that we cypherpunks sit in the same boat.

#Monero #Bitcoin

The original Bitcoin people that saw the real possibilities have already moved to Monero and the current people are just numbered go up, Michael saylor worshiping dick waffles.

I use Bitcoin and still acknowledge that Blockstream is the central body owing to the fact that a majority of Core contributors are also employed by Back and his shitty company that until recently were trying to subvert Lightning with their OWN shitcoin layer (Liquid).

I'm able to do this because I'm not a fucking idiot, hence my advocacy for Bitcoin Cash and just two privacy coins (Monero and Pirate).

Can they effectively ban these currencies and networks? Or just stop the exchanges in their jurisdiction?

They can't ban them, and there are decentralized exchanges like bisq which currently has the highest volume of Monero.

But in short they are telling you that privacy is illegal, of course you don't have to comply with the law.

At what point are people going to ask for 4th amendment protections?

Most AML and KYC rules are a form of illegal search and seizure

#BTC #BITCOIN #HODL

Asking protection from the very same body you are trying to protect from?

Sounds doomed to fail..!

Scary thought. Well the independent judiciary is the only thing stopping tyranny.

Anything independent becomes powerless when the country goes in to a state of war.

Remember the "war on terror" and how they made laws that allow them much more power?

Yes every crisis removes freedom. Pay close attention to how #BTC will be blamed for the next banking or sovereign debt crisis. See what laws are enacted.

I always suspected the EU was the manifestation of the Fourth Reich.

A coalition of people who weren’t elected making laws for several countries without any possibility of refusing indeed looks a lot like the Germania program from Adolf

fight fight fight

No suprise there. Don't be looking for the fiat stamp of approval.

You can use haveno-reto.com they lists all existing currencies and being a localmonero replacement.

LN doesn't offer measurable privacy. It hasn't been part of design spec until recently and its still unreliable and unquantifiable.

Ln offers privacy, another thing is that you're an asshole, you fucking troll.

Saying "Europe is a totalitarian state" is a bit over the top imo, there are still plenty of options that offer Lightning.

But I do agree Kraken has gone from great to a trash exchange. Before removing Lightning they changed partner in Germany which basically meant redoing an even crazier KYC to be able to continue trading.

I tried to delete my account but they just ignored the request so right now it's just living there, like a ghost.

I reaffirm myself, Europe is a totalitarian state.

- Forced vaccination in many countries.

- Restriction of freedoms

- Restriction of freedom of expression

- Attempt after attempt to override encryption and undermine privacy.

- Abusive taxation

And so on and so forth.

And that is only scratching the surface, it is also getting worse by the day.

Isn't any CEX eventually becomes what you call trash exchange? The root cause is centralization and vulnerability to regulation requirements.

Not necessarily but I guess there are shades of trashiness. nostr:npub1ex7mdykw786qxvmtuls208uyxmn0hse95rfwsarvfde5yg6wy7jq6qvyt9 is a good example.
