Good morning βοΈ
It's a tale as old as the 1980s, when the client-server model was invented.
Itβs a very tech-heavy term that means something very different to most people. A βclientβ for most people is a customer. An βappβ is what we should be calling it if we want to decrease friction for new users.
Absolutely, which is why I more often than not say app because people outside of tech circles don't understand the terminology. I also mention that we shouldn't say relays either. People understand network and server. Relay is a bad and confusing name.
I've been telling people client -> Nostr is like web browser -> internet. Seems to work.
APPS IS STRICTLY A MORE RELATABLE TERM FOR MOST PEOPLE.
LEAN INTO IT HARD.

nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg is an app, nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 is a client. There is a discernible and important difference.
We can have both.
