I absolutely love how common it is for nostr devs to have kids / families.

I hadn’t seen this be so common in any other “industry” I’ve worked at

I wonder how it’s shaping development cycles and directions.

Developing the future, in more than one way! 🐶🐾🫡🫂💜

💯💯💯

Plebs in general procreate 😘

There is a vague element of selection pre procreating though, maybe a couple of pro bitcoin questions 🤷‍♂️😂

Kids maybe give a heightened urgency in respect to the need for change.

I just say it:

I trust people more when they have a family and prioritize it over the business I'm conducting with them.

This is a discrimination 😂😂😂😂

Discrimination is a feature not a bug

I consider it more like lazy.

Directly go to the conclusion with the highest possibility.

Of course nothing wrong with being lazy in some situation. It means smart too🤣

The family man reads that I am willing to make a sacrifice to his family. That is a strong bond, I feel most comfortable building on that.

I don't make sacrifices to someone's private pleasures, I have no tolerance for half-assery.

Don’t trust,verify ☺️

Feel free to fund a Family 😁

Hmmmm

Thanks but I’m allergic to human.😉

I know what you mean. Why else should one build non controllable, decentralized systems

Yes 🙌

💯💯💯💯💯

It has definitely made me love Nostr more. I love it that there are so many relatable humans here. Families are awesome 👏 🤩

I have kids but I don’t count myself as a dev yet, does that count?

Foundational

That’s amazing. I never went into a dev office because it always was a only men place with some nasty woman’s for the dirty work. Having a place for family is so much better.

Parents envision the future through a different lens than the childless. Hope & family go hand in hand

Parenting 💯 drives me to create.

That’s why #[3]‘s book hit me very viscerally, because you can feel the urge/importance of this work

Focuses the mind on the need to build a better future?

You're right!! There is a difference 🫂✨ :) :)

I've gotten pretty used to the anti-natalist attitude of mass culture. My wife has even gotten grief from people at the grocery store from time to time. Meeting so many nostriches and bitcoiners with 3+ kids was a huge breath of fresh air. There is so much hope in children.

100%

I can feel the sense of disgust from some people when I travel with my very-pregnant wife and my young daughter, the looks of "you're killing the planet" and such... it's so sad realizing so many people have fallen under the spell of anti-humanism 😕

all we can do is build a better, brighter future

and have tons of babies 😂

Reminds me of this, "400 BABIES"
